Some of them cut into his exposed neck, drawing blood, but they were too small to do any lasting damage, and so Lokus instead focused on freeing himself from the skeleton's grasp.

With another cry, this one clearer due to his freed throat, he slammed the rim of his shield into the skeleton's face behind him, knocking the creature off of him. But as soon as he did, two more sprang forward, catching him in a three-way bear hug and once more trapping him.

'Damn it!' Lokus roared inwardly. Didn't these skeletons know when to give up?! 'Frost Aura!'

This time he showed no mercy, consolidating the aura around the head of one of the skeletons until the flames of its eyes were snuffed out and the surface felt cold and wet to his Domain. With a snarl, he headbutted the skeleton's ice-covered head, destroying the head just as he did the arms of its friend.
