Kapitel 75: Chapter 75: East Blue

Year 1499 of the Sea Calendar

East Blue

Mirapal Island is a decent-sized and thriving spot. It's known for its glassware and stylish clothes, boasting a popular "DOSKOI PANDA" shop that's a hit in the East Blue region. {It's in the fandom wiki.}

However, in recent times, a large number of strange-behaving refugees have inexplicably emerged on Mirapal Island, causing no small amount of trouble to the island's security.

But soon, the islanders found out that these strangers, despite being weak, short, and not the prettiest sight…

…are actually pretty nice folks, especially when it comes to lending a hand. They've been quick to help out with all sorts of problems around town.

The "refugees" in the eyes of the natives are naturally the player group!

Mirapal Island serves as one of the starting points for adventurers in the East Blue.

Right now, on the official game forum, players from the East Blue and South Blue are locked in a heated debate.

Ever since Adrian showed up in the North Blue, these arguments started cropping up, but they really took off after he completed his journey through the last beginner island in the North Blue.

Since Big Trouble showed up in the North Blue, players have been speculating that he's not confined to just one sea. Many believe he could appear in any of the four seas.

After Adrian's adventures in the North Blue, the big question among players has been which sea Big Trouble will hit first.

Some even started betting pools on the forum, trying to guess where he'd pop up first.

Even though the forum moderators shut down those threads pretty quick, players were still buzzing with excitement.

Then, out of the blue, a flood of new posts hit the East Blue forum, all with one simple message:

"Big Trouble's here in the East Blue!"

Time ticked forward.

Adrian, hailing from the North Blue, touched down on a deserted stretch of coastline on Mirapal Island.

Compared to the chilly North Blue, the East Blue felt much milder. A soft sea breeze carried the scent of the ocean and a touch of sunshine, making it hard not to feel a bit lazy.

Opening the East Blue section of the game forum, Adrian quickly scanned through the posts, "There are loads of newbie spots in the East Blue. It's been nearly three months since the public beta started. A bunch of players have already picked up skills, and plenty have switched to their main gigs. Looks like I need to pick up the pace."

Adrian glanced at his experience points total on the screen, feeling a surge of satisfaction.

After being promoted to "Swordmaster", Adrian had hit level 41. Despite tackling numerous quests and events, he'd intentionally slowed down his leveling.

Back when he was lower leveled, the impact of leveling up through points wasn't so noticeable, since the experience points needed wasn't that hefty.

However, after reaching level 41, Adrian had learned the skill of experience points levelling without a teacher.

After experiencing the Battle of Loguetown, killing Gecko Moria, and defeating Doflamingo, as well as harvesting experience from the player group, Adrian figured he could hit level 60 by the end of his East Blue adventures.

Ultimately, it was the players who contributed the most to his experience points!

"I wonder what the level 60 advancement quest will be," Adrian mused, eyeing his two new skills. "However, I think it should not be that difficult."

[Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) LV1 (1024/100,000): When used for defense, it can significantly increase one's defense power, like an invisible armor; when used for attack, it can blacken the skin for armament, or wrap around weapons to enhance attack effects. It can touch the physical bodies of Paramecia and Logia Devil Fruit users.]

[Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) LV1 (2048/100,000): The power of strongly sensing the breath around oneself, it can sense the position, number, and next actions of objects beyond the field of vision of the user. It can be manifested in various forms, such as "visual" and "olfactory".]

During his adventures in the North Blue, Adrian didn't just hang out with other players; he dedicated his time to studying the Haki manual Doflamingo had given him. In the end, he mastered these two Haki abilities without spending a single skill point.

The initial experience required for both Haki abilities was the same as for Rokushiki, starting at 100,000.

Initially, Adrian figured he could easily max out his Haki levels with experience alone, saving his skill points for other upgrades.

But reality hit him hard.

While upgrading from level 1 to 2 seemed manageable with 100,000 experience, reaching level 2 for both Haki required a whopping 1 million.

Level 3 demanded 10 million, level 4 soared to 100 million, and level 5 skyrocketed to 1 billion.

The experience consumption growth of the previous levels is even worse than that of Devil Fruit skills!

It's simply multiplied by ten!

Fortunately, the requirements for experience later on are not so exaggerated.

The panel shows that fully upgrading dual Haki only needs 100 billion.

Just 100 billion...

Adrian reminded himself logically: This is Haki! This is Haki!

But inevitably, Haki will be the main focus of skill point usage in the future.

Additionally, on the panel, Armament Haki and Observation Haki are categorized under the same skill tree, the Haki skill tree.

In theory, Adrian could use this to unlock Conqueror's Haki, but the panel prompt indicated that the necessary conditions weren't met.

If he insisted, the panel could do it, but it would require 10 skill points, and the experience or skill points needed for subsequent upgrades would increase accordingly.

After a moment of consideration, Adrian gave up.

Conqueror's Haki was not a necessity for him, and after raising Ghost Control to LV10 (max), he only had 26 skill points left!

He couldn't afford to waste any!

Not a single one!

Setting aside irrelevant thoughts, Adrian quickly arrived at the player gathering point on Mirapal Island. He was warmly welcomed.

The players from the East Blue had been eagerly awaiting his arrival. Previously, they had been observing players from the West Blue and North Blue boasting on the forums or arguing with South Blue players about where Big Trouble would strike first.

Now it seemed that Big Trouble had finally chosen the East Blue!

Many players took to the forums to tease those from the South Blue, but even more gathered around Big Trouble.

Without saying much, Adrian found a secluded area and released the Mimicry Ghost Customer Service. Players automatically lined up to receive tasks, give money, and receive experience, their faces filled with the simple joy of being a newbie.

Time flew by.

Finally, after clearing most of the East Blue Beginner Village, Adrian successfully accumulated enough experience!

"Time for the third advancement!"

"Level up!"
