Kapitel 2364: Chapter 1631: Fishing Day (24)_2

"For the main course, we can make pancakes and wrap the food inside to make a taco, or we can make mashed potatoes, pour fish soup and sauce on top. There are also the pasta bought by Loki and Gwen. The vegetables are broccoli, carrots, and parsley,"

"Of course, I think I'll make another pot of fish soup, and turn all those squids you caught into a stir-fry. There are also some small clams and small fish. It's kind of a waste to use them just as seasoning, so I suggest adding them to mixed vegetables for a stir-fry."

Shiller thought for a moment, then continued, "Most people can provide fish, so Charles and I came up with several ways of cooking it, such as his hometown dish of fish and chips, and we have potatoes too."

"I brought a stew pot and some beer, so we can steam some bass. The sashimi from the local fish isn't well-suited for raw consumption, so coating it with starch to make silky fish fillets is a good option. Gwen suggested we make fish paste for sandwiches, and it's handy that Charles brought a portable blender."

Seeing that the two of them were just staring at him, Shiller had no choice but to remind them aloud, "Do either of you have any other suggestions?"

"Mmm, I'm fine, I can eat anything." Steve began poking Nick with his elbow, and Nick also pushed back vigorously.

After a long session of eye rolling and nudging, in the end it was Nick who cleared his throat a couple of times with his fist at his mouth, then walked up front to slap Shiller on the shoulder, and said, "Of course, we have no objections to the menu, it's just that judging from the girls' enthusiasm, we might be up late tonight, possibly getting quite drunk. Do you want to prepare your bed early?"

"Ah, you reminded me," Shiller replied indifferently, as though reciting lines, "I can't stand climbing into an unmade bed before going to sleep, thank you for the reminder, I'll go now."

All of a sudden, Shiller felt something hard in his hand. Nick had shoved a handgun into Shiller's hand and said, "Here, take this, doctor. I know you don't use it often, but we have to be on guard against the bears. They've been pretty hungry lately, right?"

Shiller held the handgun and fiddled with it for a while, then turned around and headed for the cabin, seemingly oblivious to Nick's insinuation.

Though the lakeside house is called a cabin, it looks more like a holiday villa. It's large with seven rooms upstairs, four of which are main rooms, and they're very spacious.

The seven rooms are lined up on both sides of the hallway, Shiller's room is at the end. From the room's window, he has a view of their camping site. Because of the angle, as long as he stands a bit inside, he is not visible to the others.

Seeing Natasha chatting with Thor and the others, Shiller smiled. Then he looked down at the gun in his hand, a standard Glock 17 provided by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Shiller went to the bedside table and checked outside the window to make sure no one could see him. Then he quickly disassembled the entire handgun and put it back together after seeing the new rifling. The whole process went smoothly, without a moment of hesitation.

Then Shiller put the gun in the drawer of his bedside table and started to make the bed.

While he was making the bed, he glanced out the window. He then noticed that Natasha had been talking to a few of the Asgardians for a long time, mostly with Hela.

Shiller's hands slowed down slightly. From his angle, he could just catch a glimpse of the aggressive look in Hela's eyes.

The Crown Princess was telling tales of her conquests in the cosmos. While she spoke, she casually moved behind Natasha and lightly traced her fingernail down the back of Natasha's arm.

Natasha's eyebrows twitched almost imperceptibly. She looked at Hela's fleeting profile: powerful, beautiful, noble — gender is usually not an issue.

And Shiller, behind the window on the second floor, slowly narrowed his eyes.

"Where's Gwen?" Loki asked with some interest. She was just about to turn around and look for Gwen Spiderman in the horizon when she felt a tap on her back.

"I'm here." Gwen Spiderman took a stride forward, Loki looked up at her and smiled, saying, "I thought you really flew to the reed marsh. You bought that ... what is it called... fruit card game, you said. How do we play it again? I don't want to lose to anyone during tonight's game, you have to make sure I fully understand the rules. That's only fair."

"What fruit card game? That's the German card game Hearts! You Asgardians are so ignorant." Gwen Spiderman shook her head triumphantly, "Anyway, neither of us can cook, so now's the perfect time for me to teach you. Let's go inside."

Without waiting for Loki's reply, Gwen Spiderman dashed into the cabin. Thor turned to Loki and asked, "What's going on? Why are you interested in Gwen Spiderman again?"

Loki slowly fixed her smile and focused on Gwen's departing figure, saying, "I'm not interested in Gwen, I'm interested in Spiderman."

"You're kidding, Peter is..."

"Not all Spidermen are Peter Parker."

Having said that, Loki followed Gwen Spiderman. When they enter the living room on the first floor of the cabin, they bumped into Shiller coming down the stairs.

"Gwen, I think we need to talk about your previous paper — I just saw it in the mailbox. Miss, I'd characterize it as downright shocking, wouldn't you agree?"

Gwen Spiderman's eyes widened to saucers and her mouth dropped open in surprise. She glanced at her watch and shrieked, "Principal, are you kidding me?! You mean your vacation can't break your habit of reading papers every Monday night?!"

"No." Shiller stopped at the staircase, tilting his head to look at Gwen Spiderman," In your less than 500-word paper, I found 37 spelling errors. This broke my previous record set by another student who had 29 mistakes. Miss Gwen, would you mind if I invite Chief George to savor this masterpiece with me on this wonderful Monday night?"

"No! Please don't!!" Gwen Spiderman wailed, "I just had an argument with the George in this universe!! You can't let him know ... Okay, stop looking at me like that, demon principal! I'll go correct it right now, okay?!"

Shiller turned around and went up the stairs without looking back, "Come to my room. If you don't finish correcting it, you won't be eating."

When Natasha, who had finally ended her conversation, turned around, she saw Gwen Spiderman following Shiller into his room through the window of the latter's room.

Natasha was stunned.
