Kapitel 1151: Chapter 771 Bruce? Not really familiar! (First)_1

The morning after the typhoon, the weather had improved a bit, some of the dark clouds that constantly cloaked the Gotham sky had been dispersed. After a night of violent wind and downpour, the air had become uncharacteristically refreshing.

Jason, standing by the window, stretched leisurely, moving his neck. He awoke Little Sly, who was still sound asleep. After getting up, Little Sly asked while washing up, "Will you be going for breakfast today?"

"Sure, the meals at the school cafeteria aren't half bad." Jason pat his chest and said, "I'm growing, I need to eat more."

"I'm not going today. I didn't quite understand the transmission structure taught by the teacher yesterday. I plan on going a bit earlier to ask the teacher for clarification."

Little Sly, book in hand, was about to walk out when Jason stopped him and said, "Wait, how about I get something for you? Would you prefer a burger or a roll?"

"Get me a roll, but without the sauce. It's too salty." Little Sly walked out the door, and Jason who was standing behind him shook his head muttering, "Such a peculiar fellow, with peculiar tastes."

Suddenly, he clutched his forehead and exclaimed, "Oh lord, the transmission structure... what did the teacher emphasize yesterday?"

Seeing there was still time, Jason sat on his bed muttering to himself "Sometimes I do envy him for being able to do what he likes."

Lying on his pillow with his hands behind his head he questioned, "...What do I even like? Fixing cars? But stealing tires is just to sell them for money, do I genuinely enjoy tinkering with mechanical parts?"

Jason shook his head, seeming somewhat confused. Suddenly, he jumped up and stretched saying, "Jason, you're not that fortunate, to be able to do nothing but lie around counting money. Let's go."

Soon, Jason arrived at the cafeteria. The vocational technical college classes started earlier than the main campus, so at that time, those dining in the cafeteria were mostly technical college students.

They all knew the two younger students that had recently joined, Jason waved to them in greeting.

Jason was liked by everyone; he could fit in anywhere, thanks to his experience hustling on the streets of Gotham.

Keep in mind, to become a neighborhood kids' gang leader in Gotham, you need more than just intelligence and courage, but also high emotional intelligence.

In a sense, children are harder to manage than adults, they make more mistakes, and it takes more effort to help them out of those troubles, while also ensuring fairness to those who have not done anything wrong.

The Tail Gang led by Jason was famed in the entire street because their leader had a knack for solving commonly inconceivable problems and ensuring the safety and interests of their gang members.

Little Sly stole Batmobile tires just to refine his skills, but Jason didn't, he was merely trying to earn some money for the gang, and he later helped Little Sly simply out of loyalty.

Jason didn't find attending school to learn car repair that interesting.

Ih his breakfast tray, Jason intended to find a quiet spot to eat. However, he saw a familiar figure sitting in a corner of the cafeteria. It was Shearer.

Typically, the teachers' dining room was separate from the student cafeteria, but the main campus cafeteria wasn't open that early, because the kitchen staff hadn't arrived for work, so Shearer had been eating at the student cafeteria for some days.

No students sat around Shearer's area, but it was packed diagonally from his spot. Many students feared the Professor and worried that he may cast a frost spell on them if he didn't like what they were doing.

However, Jason's views were quite unique; he thought being frozen could be fun, so he was not afraid of Shearer at all. He happily approached with his tray in hand and asked, "Professor Shearer, may I sit here and eat?"

Shearer looked up at him, "Sure, What did you order? A burger? And why is there also a roll?"

"Oh, the roll's for Little Sly," Jason shrugged, laid down the tray and said, "He said he didn't understand a transmission structure from yesterday's lecture and wanted to ask the teacher about it this morning, so he's already in the classroom."

"He's a good student, right for this field." Shearer nodded, "In the future, he's going to be an excellent automotive engineer."

"Really? Do you think so too?" After sitting down, taking a bite from his burger, Jason asked, "What about me? What do you think I will be?"

Shearer chuckled, "That's up to you. What do you want to be?"

Jason sighed. Shearer found it amusing that Jason, still a child, always acted like an adult, looking both serious and comical.

"That's why I am asking others because I don't know what I want to do. Little Sly said he wants to invent cars with me, but honestly, I don't have any extra interest in cars either. I broke into the Batmobile for its tires, merely to sell them for a high price."

"Are you really keen on making money?" Shearer questioned.

Jason shook his head, "Actually, I don't need that much money, but a lot of kids in the Tail Gang aren't able to work, so I need to make as much as possible to support the gang."
