Kapitel 53: Dead Case (I)

"…The Mounties?" Surprised, Randolph gave them an odd look. "No offense, but you don't look like the police."

The black clothes and the singular cross sigil spoke of the complete opposite.

"Plainclothes do exist, you know. It doesn't matter either way, the only thing that matters is the badge."

"No offense, but I can't believe you just like that. You could be frauds. As far as I'm aware, the RCMP aren't supposed to be active in Ontario."

"Those are just police services, and you have no business knowing where we're active or not."

"If it involves me, I clearly do."

Randolph's gut instinct told him that they were the real deal, that combined with the hotel manager's gritted teeth and constant strange looks that he kept giving him.

He was hinting the young man in on their identity, but Randolph couldn't simply allow himself to be taken in so easily.
