Zain POV

Zain reached the area where Beatrix and Doll should have been. He noticed scorched marks on the ground.

"Did the Crooks help Doll? But I don't remember a fire user being among them." 

Throughout the way, Zain was not attacked by undeads due to the crest, making his journey smooth sailing.

He saved quite a few people. In his own way, of course.

Currently, he was in Merryman's disguise.

He taunted and attacked the nobles, who then tried to kill him. 

They thought he was a traitor. 

This way, Zain lured them and made them band together into larger groups, which increased their chances of survival. 

He also killed undeads when no one paid attention, but he did not use Godsbane Needle.

It was the weapon of John Smith. If Merryman were to use it, his identity could be jeopardized.
