"No, it's impossible!"
Before the village, in a clearing mere meters away, Gobta knelt on the ground, his body marred with scars. Around him lay the fallen bodies of his goblin comrades. He raised his eyes to meet the Goblin Slayer's gaze, a mix of shock and disbelief in his eyes. The Goblin Slaying Knight stood before him, an unyielding and calm presence, reminiscent of a towering mountain.
"Why, why! How could you humans... know of our plan?" Gobta's voice trembled with anger and despair, unable to comprehend their failure to breach the human adventurers' defenses.
To Gobta's surprise, the Goblin Slayer responded, "It was the Goblin Shaman from your lair who betrayed you. Where is he now?"
"What!" Gobta's pupils constricted in shock, his dark green face draining of color. "Dick... how could he betray us! Curse you, Goblin Slayer!"
