As the elevator ascended, she felt a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. The doors opened to a brightly lit hallway, and she quickly found Yvonne's door, ringing the bell. 

The door swung open almost immediately, and Alexis was greeted by an enthusiastic Alisa, who ran to hug her, causing Alexis to drop her groceries.
