Dr. Phillip's eyes widened upon seeing Javier. How could he be here, and why? There are so many questions that need to be answered.
"Hi, do you remember me?" Javier asked.
"I don't remember," he replied, trying to mask his surprise. "Who are you?"
"Forget it," Javier said dismissively. "Are you the doctor in charge of her?"
"No, I'm not," he replied. "I just wanted to see how she was fairing."
Javier nodded. "I'm sure they taught this in medical school - that before you enter a patient room, you knock."
Javier's eyes were on him, which makes Dr. Phillip uncomfortable. "I was actually anxious, and I forgot to knock," he explained. "Besides, she is my family member, so I don't knock when it is a family member."
"But she is not your family, though," Javier countered. "She is still a patient and a young child at that. You don't just come in without knocking; that's unacceptable."
