The principal eyed them both.
"What did you mean?" Yvonne asked.
She did not know why Alexis would say such a thing.
Alexis's lips pressed into a thin line, her eyes flickering with irritation as she offered no response, only a pointed silence.
The principal turned her gaze to Yvonne and maintained a poker face. "You've seen the evidence that you did not bring your child here," the principal interjected. "So, I really hope that you drop this issue and search for your child elsewhere."
"Did a ghost take her out of this place?" Alexis retorted; she unfolded her arms. "If it didn't show footage of us dropping her off, that means someone must have deliberately deleted that footage, and I guess it is someone from this school, a teacher, maybe."
The principal's eyes narrowed, and her lips pucker in thinly veiled disapproval. She doesn't like the fact that she is defaming the school.
