Javier yanked his hand away from his shirt. The room's harsh light cast shadows on their faces.
"How do you know she is dead?" Javier said, his eyes locking onto Logan's.
Logan sat back down, the chair creaking beneath his weight. He fixed Javier with a steady gaze and replied, "The same way you know everything, that is the same way I know things."
"So, let's go back to questioning," he said while he looked at his documents.
Javier leaned forward, his face inches away from Logan.
"I am afraid the reason you brought me here is not because of last night; instead, it is probably..." he paused, his eyes narrowing. "for Yvonne."
Logan ignored Javier's insinuation and focused on his interrogation.
"Where were you last night?" Logan inquired sternly. "Did your men take action by themselves because they said they did it by themselves?"
"I am not going to say anything without my lawyer present," Javier retorted defiantly.
