Kapitel 73: Goddess of Calamity I

Aurelia's voice was filled with weariness as she turned to Zariel, who was struggling to catch his breath after traversing the massive pile of rubble that loomed before them. "Can't you fly us over?" she pleaded, her eyes scanning the debris's jagged edges and steep inclines. The air was thick with dust and the sound of their labored breathing as they trekked on. 

Zariel shook his head, struggling to catch his breath. "It's a sign of respect," he said, though he was loathe to comply. The irregular Weave, seen only through his eyes, revealed much of what was ahead. Something powerful and ancient was before them, studying their every motion, word, and intent. 

"I don't like it either, but I've not met a Monarch who didn't prohibit one's ability to fly in his kingdom." 

Aurelia's brow arched in defiance. "Since when have you ever been one to follow the rules?" 

"Aurelia… I'm an angel." 

"Bull!"
