Kapitel 226: The Monster's Target*

He saw me, he saw me, he saw me!!!

Mother Rui fled through the forest, still with a hand clasped tightly over her mouth, terrified tears soaking her ashen face. Thin and sharp branches scraped her exposed arms and cheeks, leaving needle-like bloody marks, and there were a few times where she almost tripped and twisted her ankles, but Mother Rui did not stop – or to be exact, she did not dare to. She had to get out of this place as soon as possible. She was truly afraid that the Chief would chase after her and drag her into that accursed temple! 

…But was that really the Chief?

The last image of the elderly man seared into her retina like a burning brand. That split second when their eyes met, unless there was something wrong with her vision, she was certain that his eyes turned wholly black!

It wasn't the kind of eyes an ordinary human could possess!
