It was not like any other day after the surgery since Alonso had finally, slowly and sweetly, made love to her the night before. But unlike the mornings after their sweet love making, she woke up to find him asleep on the chair beside her bed with his hands crossed against his chest.
"…That can't possibly be comfortable," she mumbled to herself.
She fully understood why he was refraining from sleeping next to her, too worried that her head would be jeopardized in the process. What she truly wished for was for him to sleep in a guest room or at least make use of the comfortable couch in their room instead of inconveniencing himself every night like this. She suppressed a long sigh.
So stubborn.
How could she ask him to put distance between them when he was clearly suffering from the trauma of a surgery that she had to go through?
So stubborn...yet so cute!
