The king had instructed them to follow the guards as they would guide them toward the cave, which had caused them problems. Elvin had been left with the king, and it seemed Elvin would return as a new man when they returned. Or at least, that's what Lucian hoped for.

Thorin had shown he knew more than the average person about Elvin, and Lucian had a little idea about where his knowledge came from.

'It was written that Elvin was cursed. So, Thorin probably knows about either his shadow powers or curse.'

Lucian kept thinking about that final sentence where Thorin had asked Elvin if he was hurting. It really looked like he knew everything right from the beginning, which was honestly quite weird.

They had now left the city to reach the mines since it wasn't exactly located inside the Southern Regions City but in a small village nearby.
