The colorful party setups and merry music greeted Leslie and Calix once they alighted the vehicle. He carefully put her on the wheelchair before pushing her forward, meeting the eyes of Director Li and everyone else.

"Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Xu," Director Li's beaming smile expressed her joy for today's celebration. Placing her eyes on Calix, she said, "And, happy birthday, Mr. Xu. May your life be blessed always."

While Director Li was welcoming Calix and Leslie, the children kept staring at the spouses. They clammed their lips shut, a few covered their mouths with both hands, holding back from talking.

"Thank you, Director Li. Let me introduce you to my wife. Oh!" Calix exclaimed, recalling something. Shifting his eyes from the middle-aged woman, he swept his gaze toward the children, "Hello, all. Wanna see my beautiful wife?"
