Story begins

--

--

Location; Split Mountains

All was calm on this misty morning, animals were going about their regular day, until a rush of green blur was seen rushing into a cave.

Inside the cave, one would find an orc pit.

The green flash, was that of a scouting Orc returning to notify his captain of new events in the Split Mountains.

This spot filled with Orcs was the Bread pit.

The Orcish scout quickly told his captain, who informed higher ups about a large convoy of 300 Dwarves headed for the Split Mountains.

Hearing this many were quite pleased, especially at the fact that the dwarves looked to be led by a prince.

--

The Orc Bread Pit was specifically placed to deter dwarves and others from easily attaining precious metals such as Mithril.

A byproduct of this was due to the Many bones from the corpses, they were ground up into flour to be made into bread which was transported to many other Orc Pits.

--

--

Prince Ulst was quite pleased, he and his caravan of dwarves, Miners and the Pipers legion were just a stone throw away from the planned mining site, and so far, none from the Chaos Faction were met yet.

This Mining site has been used previously, and has shown large and healthy deposits of the Vaunted Mithril

--

Prince Ulst: Well Major General Donal, when we get to the mines send in half your men to clear it of all hostiles and leave the others to protect the camp.

M-G Donal: Very well my prince, will you be staying on the surface, or going to join the clearing?

Prince Ulst: I think it is far to peaceful up here, I would like some action so I will head down with clearing groups.

--

Upon hearing the Prince, M-G Donal could only think – that son of a bitch, does he not know that he has cursed us? I do not want to die just yet. —

--

M-G Donal: My Prince, do not speak such words you will draw ill attention on us. We do not have enough warriors to defend from a foe that would be drawn by that statement.

Prince Ulst: Bah, are all you old men superstitious? The Piper legion is the best, we will have no troubles getting the Mithril that we need.

--

The rest of the day went well for the Dwarves from Gobbanogron.

The Mines were cleared of animals with no Orcs and others to bother them.

Immediately portable foundries were set up, and the Dwarves went immediately to mining the precious metal they needed.

For the next 2 days, nothing occurred but this made those from the Pipers legion extremely nervous since these mountains should be teaming with Orcs.

--

On the third day, when the sun was high in the sky a bullhorn was heard.

Immediately this caused the dwarves to arm themselves, and get into formation in front of the mine entrance, where all the miners resided.

Once the dwarves were in formation, the 3 pipers of the piper legion and 2 Drummers started playing a tune on their bagpipes.

(AN: play the song "Scotland the Brave" posted on YouTube by glenzboyz)

As the song began a glowing started to form around the Dwarf warriors.

This was what made the Piper legion such a foe, their use of Battle Music Magic.

No longer feeling afraid due to the feeling of power from the pipes, the front line braced for the impact of the oncoming orcs, goblins and trolls.

--

As this was happening the Miners were rushing to fill up crates with the already refined mithril.

Planning to be ready for if the caravan needed to run away.

--

The first creatures that fell were the trolls, since they were targeted by the magic musketeers.

After the dozens of Goblins rushed in, causing the dwarves to stumble back at such a large force crashing into them.

Blood went flying as axes slashed, spears pierced, teeth gnashed.

The orcs that came rushing jumped over the front line, landing in the midst of the dwarves causing much panic and allowing the defensive formation to be harder to keep.

--

The fighting kept on for 1 hour. The original legion of 200 dwarves was lowered to 90 while the 100 miners were still alive.

--

Soon enough the Orcs and others fell back into the trees, becoming unseen to the Dwarves.

Prince Ulst approached M-G Donal in a panic

Prince Ulst: Donal, what should we do? Make a run for it, I think we have us enough Mithril for a month.

M-G Donal: I believe the best thing to do is to make our way out, but if we get blocked since the orcs are not dumb, we will follow the river to the other end of the Mountain Valley, using the boats that are in the legion's storage spaces.

M-G Donal: then once outside of these mountains we will continue down the river to the human Lands which we will use to bypass our way back home.

Prince Ulst: But wont that take a lot longer getting back to Gobbanogron?

M-G Donal: it is better to take the long route than to be dead.

--

Prince Ulst then commanded the remaining dwarves to make their way to out of the valley.

Barely a kilometer away from the mines, the Orcs returned in greater force.

The orcs surrounded the dwarves, and killed 20 miners, and 30 soldiers reducing their numbers down to 140 dwarves total from the original 300

This made the Dwarves throw magic bombs, and quickly get into the boats to escape by the river.

But over time even though most of the Orcs stopped pursuing, the Dwarves still lost another 50 slowly being picked off by boulders and arrows.

The remaining dwarves were slowly followed by 30 orcs down the river.

--

With Angus, at his Fort

After Angus was done his morning Training, he began rune carving on many stones that he gathered at the river.

As he was working, he could hear quite a bit of Rumbling to the south of his valley.

At first, he thought it was just a storm brewing, but as dust started clouding in the sky, he became nervous.

Acting on his nerves, the carving of exploding runes were made on stones, and his weapons were gathered (spear and hatchet)

By dawn nothing happened, but in the distance, shouting could be heard.

Angus Climbed up a pine to hide and observe what was happening.

--

Shortly 1 boat holding 20 dwarves appeared.

They were shooting what looked to be guns at a pursuing group of 10 orcs and what looked to be 1 troll.

Soon enough both groups got within 20-30 meters from him.

Finally, the Troll was able to nail the boat with a small boulder, making the boat start to sink.

--

The dwarves started swimming with all their might out of the river.

--

Just as the Orcs were about to attack the waterlogged Dwarves, stones started flying at them from no where.

Once hitting an orc, the stone exploded killing them.

The living troll was quickly killed by a spear flying from the trees.

After the Troll fell, the Spear flew out of the corpse and into the Tree.

--

Prince Ulst: Who is there? Will you come out, so we can thank you for saving us Friend!

--

Angus cleared his throat before shouting

--

Angus: If I come out do not attack, I am not your Foe.

--

Angus the jumped out of the tree, and made himself fully visible to the Dwarves.

--

When the Dwarves saw that it was a Goblin that saved them, they were absolutely gobsmacked.

--

Angus: Hello I am a goblin named Angus, and you are now on my land. What brings you here with attackers trailing behind? Also who are you.
