"How long will you stay here for?"

Meria asked the alpha, knowing the emperor could not stay away from his throne for long.

But if Kerin would stay for a little while, then Meria wanted him to taste Alfred's cooking and see how good it was.

Meria's question put the alpha in a bind.

'I cannot stay long, but I do not want to leave Meria either. The royal palace will have to wait a while to get me back.'

"I can stay for a little while. Did you want to do something with me?"

Kern asked in an excited voice.

He was ready to do anything if it meant spending more time with his omega.

Meria's smile was beautiful, and it made Kern melt. 

"Yes, I wanted you to taste something. Just give me a moment, and I will unpack the food for you."

It stuck Meria halfway. It was weird how he was so eager to have his alpha try out another omega's food.

Meria should not be doing that, but he could not bring himself to throw the food away.
