"This is not something I can heal," Han Zhimin reported apologetically, yearning to caress Han Yongrui's face as his son lay on his back on one of the infirmary beds. However, the lad's stubbornness ran as deep as the emptiness in his heart.

Han Yongrui craned his neck to the side to avoid his father's aching parental touch and Han Zhimin was forced to retreat his advances.

"What do you mean you cannot heal him?" Han Xuelian remarked angrily, standing idle as a spectator beside his older brother with his arms folded. "What will become of Yijun and Chi Weiran then if you couldn't find a way to cure Rui?"

Han Zhimin regarded his younger brother with a severe and pained look in his eyes.

"Demonic energy and meridian damages are not something that can be healed by my Ice Essence," the healer admitted bitterly. "This needs the work of Celestial Essence…but I'm not completely sure if that kind of essence alone will be able to defy and eradicate the damages."
