Kapitel 112: Voices from the past

Nathanael's POV:

Digging my heels deeper into the dirt beneath me, I halt all movements, put away every distraction and stand ready to take the sounds around me in. 

The wind blows from the east, riling up the trees as it carries every vibration to my ears. 

A series of rhythmic and almost synchronized, heavy impacts hammering the Grimesbrook preserve grounds reaches me. Kelpies, I'd say, counting at least five members in their group, heading to the north side of the forest. They're, no doubt, fleeing the stir we're causing out here.

The sound of low impact taps on the ground Travels fast. It goes and comes around from and to every direction, covering the entire territory. Shifters, in their wolf forms, our hunters are scouring the woods under tonight's hidden moon in pursuit of Clarice who seems to have completely vanished.
