Kapitel 91: Secrets of the past

Rosemary's pov:

Izzy turns around to face me as I approach her. She seems hesitant, unsure about something, an action she needs a little push to go forward with, perhaps? 

"Hey!" she smiles feebly, "You came!" she exclaims with not much enthusiasm aside from the warm beam she offers me.

"Well, I told you I wanted to pay this place a little visit. I am just as surprised to see you here. I thought you didn't want anything to do with this," I retort.

Her eyes leave my figure and follow the movement of the car behind me instead. She makes a subtle nod towards it and I turn just in time to see Nathanael nodding back as he drives away. I stand in place, my gaze stuck on the vehicle, I watch it pick up speed and become smaller and smaller as the distance separating us keeps on growing. 

Thinking about it, I realize he was more than right… Well, it's not like I didn't realize it sooner. I just refused to admit it.
