Kapitel 55: Our heart's deepest desires

Nathanael's POV:

There's truth to everything she's just stated. I'll never pretend to know what it feels like to be human, but somewhere within myself I always assumed it'd be easier. 

Though her words are sound, I can soothe the scorching flames at my core with nothing. 

When she'd said that I needed to find the one person to be myself with, I'd foolishly hoped she'd volunteer herself. 

I stupidly gaze into Rosemary's eyes like it's the last time I ever see them, "When you said that I should find someone I can be myself with. What did you exactly mean?"

"Someone you can speak your mind with. Someone you can argue with. Someone you can be connected to without it having consequences on who you are or who you strive to be…," she trails off, a dreamy air overtaking her features.

"So, you don't want to see me again," I half ask.
