Kapitel 50: Getting dragged into the mess.
Logan had yelled out in anger as his adamantium claws were released from his hands. Feeling the threat my Desert Eagles acted on their own, the Nth metal Deagle (I will call them Deagles from now on) appeared in my hand, armour soon being deployed over my body. The armour itself was thin, incredibly so, to the point it felt like i merely had another layer of skin on top of my body. The design was reminiscent of Natasha Romanov's getup but was completely enclosing all of my skin up till the top of my neck, leaving my head bare. I pointed the deagle down at the floor merely looking at Logan as if he was the biggest nuisance.
Everyone had gone on alert as soon as he and I drew our weapons, every person ready to act at the moment violence started to break out. As i looked at him i merely willed Eclipse to go back into my soul, the weapon not arguing whatsoever. Logan also retracted his claws his expression pissed.
"Why did you mention that place!?"
"Because it is important and may lead you to the answers you seek."
"BULLSHIT! I checked, there is nothing there!"
"Did you really check everywhere? Even underground?"
Shock started to spread through his face as he realised he hadn't checked for that. But who would do that, his thoughts were obvious to me as I unhesitatingly stared at him.
"Oh and before I step back, i would like to mention that you should probably secure the mansion... Because there are armed spec ops outside."
Complete and utter disbelief passed through everyone except for Illyana who seriously ran out of the room, an ethereal sword being summoned the next moment. They stood there in silence for several seconds when Xavier finally chimed in.
"Emelia is right the mansion is currently under attack, Storm go quickly get the children and lead them through the secret exits to the forest. Cyclops, Wolverine, Slipstream, go and keep them busy, do not kill them. Rogue, Cypher, go get the other teenage students and go with the children. Jean your with me, were going to go to Cerebro and find this Nightcrawler then disable the machines functions. Emelia, what will you do?"
I has been simply standing there listening to this alternate version of the movie i remember when he had asked that question, it threw me off a bit. My eyes narrowed at the question before i sighed loudly. I knew who was behind this and i know the rough events that would take place, including the Phoenix Force's manifestation in Jean.
"Well, i suppose i should aid in your plight. I will create a shield around the mansion, you will most likely have ten minute to half an hour."
Xavier merely nodded before hurrying off after everyone else who had already left, the only one dragging behind being Piotr and Jean.
"Piotr can you go make sure Illyana is safe?"
"I was just about to do that, was making sure you were okay."
He took off before i could respond.
'He's so energetic...'
I turned to look at Jean who was having a mild panic attack as she looked backwards and forwards towards the wall, several of the chairs in the room slowly rising.
'Oh for fuck's sake.'
I walked up to her and placed my hands on her shoulders, snapping her out of her powers. She was confused at first before she refocussed on my existence her expression becoming moody and cloudy.
"Jean! Snap out of it! I know your powers are probably unstable but please focus on the situation. I know that I came here suddenly and interrupted your feelings for Illyana but please think of the lives at stake and Illyana herself."
She nodded slightly in recognition of my words as I took my hands off of her shoulders. I started walking to the centre of the room to get ready, Jean starting to run out of the room. I felt that feeling again, that i was about to say something I didn't intend to speak aloud.
"I also wouldn't mind being with you if you were open to it..."
She stumbled at my words her pristine looking red hair cascading down around her shoulders as i spoke. Before i could see her expression she continued to run her footsteps much more hurried.
'Fucking Sin of Lust... She's annoyingly attached to Illyana and I still find myself attracted to her also.'
[He he, the Sin is finally activating now that your soul is larger.]
'I call BS'
'Anyway, Sis, i want to create a magic tied in with my runes to add a protective shield over the mansion preferably using Protego Maxima's outcome as the desired outcome of this spell. I want the casting to only require my mana and use the runes as a conduit to draw mana from the universe. The casting time should be a minute.'

[{Aegis Runicus Praesidium} : Creates a large physically repellent and magically resistant aegis/shield around a large slot of land. The cost of mana goes up per square Kilometre the spell is being applied to. Due to the use of Protego Maxima as the intended end goal and function of the spell, with runes supplementing the process, the user of the spell can input mana into the shield to create giant sentinels much like those used at Hogwarts (These will not be made out of stone.)]
