He followed her into her spacious office where she directed him to a seat. Having built this hospital with meticulous care, he felt a sense of satisfaction seeing it as he had envisioned. The health of his pack was paramount to him, even for those who favored Rodrigo over him.

"What seems to be the issue this time around?" Dr. Susan inquired. Just as he was about to respond, the door swung open and someone entered.

"Candice, I'm in a meeting. Come back later," Susan said briskly, her expression revealing her displeasure at the interruption. Alpha Devon glanced over and recognized the woman from the day he had brought Olivia to the hospital.
