“Ugh! I’m stumped. We went there twice already, but she’s not budging at all.” Merlin forcefully ruffled his hair in frustration.
Currently, the three were inside the cafeteria attached to their accommodation. It was late into the night, and other athletes had already gone to bed, but since they suddenly felt hungry, they had gone to ask the association staff for permission to use the kitchen.
Black Wizard was surprisingly good at cooking, and thus, rice porridge made from leftover ingredients in the fridge was conjured up to silence the captain’s grumbling.
“You only met her twice, and you’re already stumped? I knew from the start that she wouldn’t easily agree,” Black said while sipping a strong black coffee. It was his fuel for tonight’s work.
“Said the person who didn’t even go with me,” Merlin made a face. “No matter what I said, she didn't listen. She just kept chasing me out like I was some kind of pest. Why don’t you go there yourself?”
