“Both players are still playing it safe. It’s clear that Summoner Fier tries to control the flow of the game, preventing Summoner Rin from setting up the board. Due to the heavy offense in the first moment of the game, their MPs aren’t ready for any more cards yet. The surprising thing here is that Summoner Fier suddenly changes her style to be a Tempo-control type. Truly unexpected.”
The cheers partially quieted down after the commentator spoke. Indeed, they were at first excited to see their Summoner Fier changing her style from High-speed magic deck to Tempo-control, a style where the player focused on the timing that would best let them gain control over the game.
Clearly, despite the upper hand she had, Summoner Fier couldn’t order her soul balls to attack. That was because they didn’t have attack points. Additionally, she didn’t activate any more cards to shore up her current advantageous status. This was apparent evidence of a Control play.
