"Do you think you will win against Schalke?", Isa asked.
"Pretty sure", I answered.
"Why? They may have had a bad start in the season, but still, they were 2nd place last season.", she asked.
"They are very chaotic right now. They will for sure not be in Europe's top flight in the next few seasons", I said remembering the Schalke from my past life.
It was one of the things I still remember as Schalke was something like a symbol of downfall. They were 2nd last season. This season they would already be in the lower reaches, next season they will be relegated. They will only upgrade in the 22/23 season again but will relegate that year again. They were in a relegation place for quite a few matches in the 2nd Bundesliga meaning they would go down to the third-division. They were lucky and avoided relegation after they got a new manager, but they didn't come back to their prime.
As for being with Isa again. We regularly met. Meaning at least once a week. We still played games on our PCs in our free time and I still streamed, not as often anymore due to the Bundesliga, but still regularly.
A few days later the game against Schalke began.
(Solo again as there is no conference for matches this late, they are called the top match of the week, for later)
"Today plays Bayern Munich against Schalke in Gelsenkirchen(Schalke is a district in Gelsenkirchen. Gelsenkirchen is very near to Dortmund. They are both in the Ruhr-area. Due to that their matches are called the Ruhr-Derby). Bayern plays in red from left-to-right and Schalke play in blue. Schalke begins the match with the kick-off."
...
Schalke had pretty low morale today. Probably because they lost most of their recent matches and were in last place in the league.
"Meyer got the ball from Uth, who seems very unmotivated. Meyer passes the ball straight up front like a scalpel. Gnabry runs and catches the ball. Gnabry runs towards the goalkeeper in a 1vs1 against him. The experienced Fährmann(GK) against the young Gnabry. Who will win? Gnabry cuts in again and shoots to the lower right corner. Fährmann guessed right and is flying. The ball hits the goalpost and bounces off. Müller comes from out of nowhere and shoots the ball into the goal. This is his magic. This is a goal that symbolizes Müller perfectly. He came out of nowhere. He knew where to go and just finished it."
"An early lead for Bayern due to Müller. What do you think about this goal, Frank?", One of the commentators asked the other.
"It is a very solid attack. Very good vision and pass from Meyer. A very fast sprint from Gnabry who needed to shoot earlier and perfect positioning from Müller. All in all. A deserved goal, I would say.", one of the commentators said.
"There is nothing I can add to that.", the other replied.
...
"There is Bayern Meyer, he sprints from the left wing and overtakes Schalkes Caliguiri. He falls? Is Meyer injured? That was no foul for sure"
Fuck, I knew I sprained my ankle. It didn't hurt too much, but I couldn't play more. I immediately signaled it to Kovac. Müller and Coman brought me to the sidelines, where the doctors came. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Just when I was in form.
"Let's hope that the injury of the young Maximilian Meyer won't be too severe. He is a star of hope for Germany.", the commentator said.
The doctor looked at me and confirmed my guess. He said that it was probably only lightly sprained and that it would take two to three weeks to heal, but he needed to take me to the hospital for more detailed research.
It was two good news in one.
The first one is that I won't be missing for too long and the second is that I won't have a glass man physique. That means that I won't be easily injured. A sprained ankle isn't an injury you get because you are weak against injuries, but because you slipped on the field or were unlucky.
I went to the hospital in a private car. I watched the game till the end on my phone. In the end we won, due to a goal from Lewandowski. It was a shot from the penalty area. We won 2:0.
There were already guesses about everything and some people called me. For example, my family(Grandfather, Mother, and Father) who watched the game together, Isa called, and a few others.
Just a reminder that he won't be injury free
