Kapitel 164: Consideration

Kaoma didn't even think about disobeying; she edged her way around the bed ever so cautiously.

Then she stopped when she was just a foot away from him, so close but so far.

Maxixe's mood had shifted the moment he patted the bed but Kaoma's mind was still stuck on their conversation.

She asked, "Do you still intend to go after Captain Herbert, let me come with you, if we get married and put together a unified front then the Captain would leave both me and Lady Sarika if I'm legally wed… wouldn't he?"

So much for private musings he could hear a mix of fear and hope in her voice which annoyed the hell out of him. 

He wished she would look to him to solve her problems.

In his eyes she was too fragile to have such worries. 

If she continued like this it was only a matter of time before her mind shattered from all the pressure it was under.
