Kapitel 42: The little troublemakers

Some young boys peeped inside the window of Prince Maxixe's bedroom curious about the human slave that it was rumored the Prince kept tied to his bed.

The large mullioned window had been left open since Prince Maxixe departed and it faced the direction of the disappearing sun.

When the breeze blew Kaoma could smell the freshness of the air, she hoped that Maxixe would return before night came and the air got colder.

Since she was tied to the bed frame she wouldn't be able to move far enough to close the window.

Kaoma saw them and frowned but still they didn't move, the oldest one looked to be about twelve and he grinned at her suggestively.

It was only when she gave them the stink eye that they ran away from the window.

Laughing uproariously, shouting at the top of their voices that, "the human had hexed them."

How she wished she could go up to the window and slam it shut in the faces of the little troublemakers.
