Kapitel 55: Emily

After finishing his speech, Malacai told them to go home. The workers then began to disperse. 

That night, four people suffered heart attacks - some on the road while on the phone, others in their bedrooms as they typed on their laptops. 

Even some who had agreed to work for him only thought of it as a means to gather intel.

After returning home, they started to plan to contact someone to sell the information. Unfortunately, they suffered heart attacks before they could even begin typing.

In the end, only three men and three women remained, but they would only realize what happened to the others many months later. 

The next day, they thought the other two had simply changed their minds, as one of the clauses in the contract stated they could inform the boss first if they wished to renegotiate. 

Of course, Malacai would agree to their resignation as long as they left their lives behind.
