Kapitel 24: Chapter : 24 Battle ends

An uneasy silence filled the room as Almond remained on guard, anticipating an imminent attack. His intense focus was fixed on the door, where the faint murmurs of terrorists could be heard. The subtle movements of shadows beneath the door and along the floor revealed their presence.

Dylan and Rias, positioned at the back, heeded Almond's advice to stay put. As Almond was Uncertain of Dylan's capabilities, thinking dylan exuded confidence due to his spirited youngsters blood.

Knock...knock...

"Is anybody inside?"

"It seems like nobody is inside; then, I will be leaving."

The sudden voice with the knock on the door made Almond's heart beat faster. He knew what was going on—they were playing with them. They already knew someone was inside but wanted to play the role of predators, making their prey nervous even before the fight began.

"It seems like I was right, nobody's inside. Okay, then this time I am leaving, seriously."

As the footsteps of someone walking away accompanied by vanishing shadows...

Thud!

Crack!

The door broke to pieces. "Haaaahhaaa, I was joking."

A small boy dressed in elegant dress with black jacket and trousers with golden embroidery, his height around 5ft 7inch with light brown hair and slightly pink eyes, looked quite young, appearing to be around 16. His thin and lean body added an unexpected contrast as they didn't imagine seeing young little kid.

But something about him hinted at abnormality—slightly closed eyes and a smile plastered on his face, radiating uneasy vibes.

"There are three of you here, but why weren't you replying when I asked who is inside?" The boy's unsettling smile sent shivers through everyone. His ultra-sweet demeanor wasn't embraced, evident in Rias tightly clutching Dylan's clothes in fear.

"You're with the terrorists, aren't you?" Almond said, a blue magic circle appearing in his hand, ready to attack and the reason he asked whether he is with terrorists or not it's because of his way of speaking and how he is dressed.

"Terrorists? Are you talking about those making noises outside? I haven't fallen so low to join them, but you can say I hitched a lift from them on their way here." The boy maintained his sugary tone and unyielding smile.

"Master Nebiros, we should get out. It seems like the school has somehow managed to contact outside for help."

A man, 6ft tall with a muscular body and a football-like head, his eyes appearing hollow, spoke.

"Oh, they managed to contact someone? That's weird. I didn't think anyone could do it so fast." The boy pondered, glancing at Almond, Dylan, and Rias.

"Nebiros? You're from the Nebiros clan, but everyone from that clan is supposed to be dead," Almond muttered, perplexed. The Nebiros clan members shouldn't exist anymore, Back then along with the 72 pillars clan there were six other extra clans that falled under Lucifers, but were wiped out in the great war. "How is someone from Nebiros here, and what's their motive?" Almond wondered, a flood of questions racing through his mind.

"Can't you see with your own eyes? I'm right in front of you. What more proof do you need?" the boy replied.

"But what should we do with you now that you know who I am?" the boy added, looking at them as if their fate rested in his hands.

*Spurt!*

*Splash*

A burst of water beam shot out by Almond as it moved toward the Nebiros boy, but somehow, the water beam collided and changed its direction, moving away from him as if an invisible barrier had stopped it and altered its course.

"You are hurting my feelings; you should have at least let me come to my judgment," Nebiros boy said, slightly sulking as if disappointed in them for attacking him, even though he was acting sweet. Of course, Almond wasn't buying that fake demeanor.

"Well, then, it's judgment time.... I am leaving. Bye-bye," Nebiros boy waved his hand as he turned around to leave. Seeing Nebiros leave, Almond was suspicious, but to his surprise, Nebiros really left. Doubt lingered – what if he comes back?

However, Almond's attention shifted to the big guy, seemingly Nebiros boy's servant, who hadn't left. He was still standing there. "Why aren't you leaving?" Almond asked, feeling nervous.

"Master said he is the one leaving, not me, So it's time for my judgment" the man replied as Almond shot another water beam towards him as he knew what his intention were. This time, it was stopped by the man's bare hand, blocking the water pressure with his sheer power.

"Dylan, take Rias and run when you get the chance!" Almond shouted, realizing he might not be able to beat the muscle man who was on guard. Suddenly, the muscle man appeared in front of him in a flash, stopping Almond's attempt to use another water magic by holding and squeezing his hand tightly.

"Ahahahhhh..."

The pain in Almond's voice was evident. "Run," Almond urged as Dylan, holding Rias's hand, moved forward. Suddenly, Dylan felt something and used his spiritual power to move himself and Rias backward. The muscle man's hand clutched the air where Dylan stood before, and Almond fell to the ground with a broken wrist.

"Small bug is slippery?" the muscle man questioned, surprised that a small child could sense him, considering his speed even Almond couldn't react to.

"He's too fast for me," Dylan thought, realizing he had dodged him by luck and might not be able to do it again. As his eyes widened, Dylan muttered, "He's coming again," attempting to move out of the way but getting caught as the muscle guy lifted him by the neck, leaving Rias on the ground.

"Leave him!" Rias shouted, her eyes filled with tears. The muscle guy lightly kicked her, and as she was about to collide with the wall, Dylan used his telekinesis power to stop her from getting hurt.

"Dodge it, or you'll get cut," Dylan warned, being choked. His fly Cutter blade appeared, floating towards the muscle guy's face. The muscle guy dodged it, but another fly Cutter aimed for his hand, giving a minor cut. Surprisingly, the muscle guy let go of Dylan, backing off.

"Why did I back off?" the muscle guy questioned himself, his instinct told him to retreat despite dodging the attack and sustaining only a minor cut on his hand.

"That guy's skin is really tough. If it were some other devil, it could've been cut in two pieces," Dylan muttered, surprised that his fly Cutter only gave a minor cut.

"Darian, get out of there. He's not an opponent you can take on now. He's probably an ultimate-class devil," Liridian's voice echoed in Dylan's head.

"I guess I'll have to go full out on him," Dylan muttered, feeling a sense of urgency. He sensed the muscle guy coming towards him, but he was too slow to react properly.

*Shine*

A green barrier surrounded Dylan as the muscle guy punched it. The sheer force broke through, creating a hole in the wall, and Dylan was thrown out, still surrounded by his barrier.

"Now is the chance. Use the magic circle and get out," Liridian's voice echoed in Dylan's head. While floating in the air and scanning the surroundings, Dylan checked on the unconscious Rias on the side.

"Well, let's at least give him a taste of defeat," Dylan muttered, his fly Cutter rotating horizontally between his palms with a bluish glow.

"Dylan, if you use that kind of attack now, it might cause you headaches after you use the magic circle," Liridian warned.

"No worries. I can tolerate it," Dylan muttered as his green barrier started to crack. His spiritual power exploded, the barrier shattered, and he was surrounded by an ethereal aura. Lifting up his right hand, the entire school was enveloped in a bluish glow swirling like a blade.

"Wind Glaze slices through everything in its wake,"

Dylan muttered, unleashing the swirling blade attack toward the muscle man. The attack cut the school building in half, but the muscle guy managed to dodge, but his left arm was cut off from his body as he fell into the debris.

"Dylan, get out fast. It seems like the barrier around the school is breaking," Liridian warned.

"It seems like their help arrived," Dylan said, noticing soldiers as the barrier around the school crumbled apart.

Taking a last glance at Rias, Dylan activated the magic circle, teleporting to his human elementary school bathroom due to Liridian provided coordinates. "You said I would feel headaches, but I seem fine," Dylan mentioned, feeling a bit lazy, lacking the energy to move.

"Well, you're just lucky the barrier broke, so you didn't need to expend that much spiritual power," Liridian explained. The underworld school's barrier prevented teleportation, but Liridian's magic circle can forcibly teleport, potentially consuming more spiritual power.

As Dylan felt his vision shaking and getting black, he muttered, "I need to sleep," falling to the ground and succumbing to sleep.

"It's been more than two hours. Probably the teachers are finding him since I deactivated his hologram when some children were coming towards him. Well, it's not my problem; you'll deal with it when you wake up," Liridian muttered as he vanished, leaving Dylan asleep in the bathroom.

Meanwhile Somewhere in the underworld

Two people were in a tunnel-like space, none other than Nebiros and the muscle guy holding his severed left hand in his right hand.

"You really got your arm cut off by a small child," Nebiros said, smiling as if finding it amusing.

"He was really strong, Master," the muscle guy replied.

"Now, what do we do? We went there to get small children for an experiment but came out empty-handed," Nebiros said, slightly disappointed in his mission of kidnapping small devil students.
