"How do you perceive all this...?" She spoke without really realizing she had.
The world moved so much around her and in front of her, especially with the swaying of the carriage, that it almost hurt to look at. If she were even the slightest bit prone to motion sickness she'd be in a world of hurt, probably.

"Hm?" Merwyn tilted his head. "How do you look at the world and see so little? Is it not empty and dull...?"
He said that and yet it seemed more like he was thinking aloud to himself, not really asking her. She supposed it must have been baffling even after observing humans as long as he had to imagine just how little humans perceived.
