Victoria stood up from the bed in order to go to that man named Adrian Sinclair, her movements slow and deliberate.

But she was immediately shocked to realize something was wrong with her body and then she tried to make sense of what was happening.

Her eyes fell on her sister, Cassia, who stood a few feet away, eyes wide with a mix of fear and confusion.

Cassia seemed to instinctively recoil from her touch, almost as if an invisible barrier had been erected between them.

It was then that Victoria realized something was profoundly wrong. A powerful, almost tangible, spiritual pressure was radiating from her body, an energy so intense she could barely keep it in check.

She could feel it pulsating through her veins, threatening to burst forth uncontrollably.
