Amanda's POV

"Mama's home!"

I opened the door to the house and walked in, not forgetting to lock it because it was late, plus the news about the gangsters was getting more and more crowded because of the kidnapping they did.

I became more and more worried every day.

"Mama!!!" When I turned my head, I saw my beloved son running happily towards me.

He immediately hugged me happily. "Mama's coming home late," he said.

"Oh... I went to the convenience store earlier, to buy groceries."

"Humn... Did you bring cake?" Lucas asked again, he had a sweet tooth.

I gave him the bag of cake, asking him to share it with Ashley who was still living with us.

He nods.

"Welcome home, Amanda," greeted Ashley who had just come out of the living room. "Your dinner is ready, want me to warm it up?"

"No need, I don't mind if it's cold. I just got back from the convenience store."
