Kapitel 59: The Patriarch

Luca had been going through his usual routine of pretending he understood the words coming out of the mouths of the people he had to meet. There was jargon he wasn't familiar with and continuation of previous work he had led but there was no beginning or end in his thoughts. 

Luckily, Miss Florentino was at his side diligently taking notes or recording the meetings as long as there weren't things being discussed that were under strict orders of secrecy. 

She assured him that anyone he met wouldn't think anything of the way he was behaving. His aloofness was usual in his place of business.

When he had a moment alone, Luca continued his search through his office. When he was home, he had found what he thought might be the password to a cabinet that was locked like a safe. The fact that there were things in his life at that moment he didn't have access to was concerning to him.
