Looking at the ring, Henry, who was sitting at his desk surrounded by miscellaneous items, activated his mana, which allowed him to use the function of the ring, generating a 20-meter radius field. He then decreased the gravity on himself alone, causing him to feel light before he started to float. "Interesting," he murmured, enjoying the sensation of feeling weightless, like he was in a zero-gravity zone. He then reverted everything back to normal before he increased his own gravity. Feeling the increase in gravity, Henry continued to increase it until he started to feel it becoming unbearable, so he stopped. "That would crush a normal human to a paste," he assessed as he deactivated his mana, before focusing on the monitor in front of him, which showed a Hydra base that had something he wanted: a formula. "Well, with that formula, I should make progress on the Phoenix Warrior Potion v2," he smiled before looking to his side where a blue pill lay.

Chapter 74

"With this pill, I should be able to swindle those fat bastards around the world, maybe hold an auction," he smirked to himself, as he placed the pill back into the container, which contained a hundred more of those pills. After all, he was planning on selling them to the military or any merc who wanted it. Suddenly, an alarm appeared on his monitor. {Sir, it appears that bait-4 is being breached.} Seeing this, he smirked. Bait were a number of safe houses that he made it low-key known that he was inhabiting, and they were rigged to the brim. He then pulled up a live feed of bait-4, which showed several agents dressed in tactical gear with the iconic black bird symbol. These were, of course, Hydra agents disguised as S.H.I.E.L.D. "Well, look who resurfaced," Henry wasn't surprised. He had seen this coming, both from his vision and from just analysing the facts and data. "Alright, how about I give a nice crackling welcome?" he smirked as he clicked a button.

Inside bait-4, which was a warehouse, the agents moved through the dimly lit space with caution, organized, only for the sound of a glass rolling to be heard. The agents immediately snapped their attention to the source of the noise, which was a bottle that they immediately shot at out of reflexes. It was a bad idea as it released a blue surge of electricity that not only destroyed everything in the warehouse but also the warehouse itself. Henry smiled while thinking to himself, "I am tired of everyone breaking into my hideout," he muttered to himself as he leaned back. {Sir, bait-3 has also been breached.} Seeing this only widened the smile on his face.
"Let's see some fireworks," he scoffed softly as he watched each and every one of his bait traps explode with bright light. "Let it burn, let it burn, let it shrivel up and die," he sang a little as he watched the scene, before switching to a scene of Raina walking out of a restaurant. "And she just had that conversation with S.H.I.E.L.D., everything is going according to plan," he smirked as Terry didn't seem impressed, given the loud snapping of his beak as if he was saying, "Watching things burn while you sing like a deranged idiot—guess even a sick bastard like you needs a hobby." but henry didn't seem to mind. "Well, at least one of us is happy," he thought as he looked at a vial of red liquid.

[ Description: Formulated using the essence of pure fire extracted from the heart of a volcanic eruption. This potion grants the drinker the ability to conjure and control intense flames, enhancing their offensive capabilities. It also boosts the user's heat resistance and physical strength. ]

He then extended his hand, generating a fireball, which he then controlled around. "Hmm," he muttered as he then drank the potion. He summoned another fireball while the other one was still in his hand, which was bigger, and he had an easier time controlling. "Interesting," he noted as he continued to experiment, while Kai noted down all the observations. "Well, this is one step closer to Phoenix Warrior v2," he noted as he put the potion aside. He had several more of these potions, and he could create several more. That's when he saw the news. "The manhunt is beginning," he pondered as he popped a limitless pill, not to increase his intelligence but to recall some more information. "The Inhuman outbreak is close, and I have already prepared for it," knowing what was in the future was a great tool, allowing him to plan for it better.
However, it also came with its own headaches, literally. He sighed, "Now then, it's time for the fight in Attilan," as he sent out a signal to Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D., and Skye's father on the location of the Diviner. "Let the chaos begin," he smirked as the events unfolded as he saw in his vision, of course with the direction of those events slightly manipulated to his advantage. "With this, Hydra should be able to take the Diviner and place it in the underground city, awakening Skye and Raina, who should be taken away by the blind teleporting Inhuman." Recalling those events, he busied himself for the next couple of days with potions as S.H.I.E.L.D. tried to stop Hydra.
Until the Diviner was placed underground, which Henry knew would alert a Kree back to Earth. Although that Kree was friendly with humans, it couldn't be said the same for the Inhumans, as the Kree were the ones who created them as weapons. "Sif also comes here," he knew Sif because she was with Thor back in Mexico, but he had no intention of taking her blood. From his vision, he does take her blood, but it turns out there was someone watching over her, which led to Henry being pursued by Asgard.

A/N: Well, that was a lot to unpack. First of all, Henry is truly taking on the role of pulling the strings behind the scenes, but that won't be the case for long. In fact, after the mobile base project is done, Henry will be forced out of hiding and will need to get his hands dirty. This is something I plan to lead to the ending of the story. I estimate the story to be 150-190 chapters long. So yeah, you guys wanted a smart MC; you're getting one. Someone who plans, someone who orchestrates events to his advantage, someone who eliminates unnecessary obstacles, and someone who thinks before he acts. Anyways, what do you guys think so far?
