Kapitel 50: Raiding The Lumerian Star(chapter 50)

prevously in chapter 49

Henry emerged from a shadow behind a door in one of the ship's corridors. He wore his plague doctor costume, the beaked mask and dark robes making him look like a figure from a nightmare. The dim lighting cast a sinister glow on his figure, making him blend even more seamlessly with the darkness. "Hmm," he grunted to himself, his voice barely above a whisper. His enhanced senses allowed him to hear nearly everything around him. The soft hum of the ship's machinery, the distant footsteps of the mercenaries, and even the faint rustling of clothing were all as clear as day to him.

Chapter 50

He listened carefully, his superhuman hearing picking up the subtle sounds of conversation several decks above. His enhanced vision allowed him to see clearly in the dim lighting, picking up every detail of the aged metal walls and the occasional streak of rust. He could smell the salt of the ocean mingled with the metallic scent of the ship, the odor of oil and machinery creating a distinct industrial aroma. Navigating through the base felt almost effortless with his new strength and agility. He moved silently, every step calculated and precise, his body instinctively avoiding any obstacle or creaky floorboard.

As he moved through the ship, he suddenly heard the faint sound of an engine that didn't belong to the ship. "I am not alone," he muttered, frowning. He quickly relaxed, thinking, "I just need to get in and out. There are 13 minutes left of the Shadowmeld Potion, so I should be able to slip into the shadows easily. there is no need to expose myself, i need to keep all of my cards hidden" He continued to navigate through the doors and corridors of the base, his movements fluid and cat-like.

The ship's interior was a maze of narrow passageways and small rooms. The walls were lined with various control panels, some with flickering screens displaying data, others covered in switches and dials. The floors were made of metal grates, adding to the industrial aesthetic, and the air was filled with the constant drone of machinery.

Henry utilized the Shadowmeld Potion to meld into the shadows whenever he encountered patrolling mercenaries. His body seamlessly blended with the darkness, making him invisible to the naked eye. He moved with the grace of a predator, his enhanced agility allowing him to slip past even the most vigilant guards. When he couldn't avoid the mercenaries, he would strike with lethal precision, his enhanced strength allowing him to snap their necks effortlessly. The mercenaries never saw him coming; their deaths were swift and silent.

Each time he struck, Henry's movements were a blur of efficiency. He would appear behind a mercenary like a phantom, his hands moving swiftly to twist and snap, then disappear back into the shadows before the body even hit the ground. The ship's narrow corridors and dim lighting provided the perfect environment for his shadowy assaults. Henry moved from room to room, corridor to corridor, his senses on high alert, blending seamlessly into the shadows and striking with deadly precision whenever necessary, until he found his desried location which were the data was located, but there where pirates here, specially the big boss, henry could come out and fight but he knew there more, so he played it smart, while in the shadows of one of the merc, he threw a small device, a device specially made by him which clunk to the monitor before glowing red, without the merc ever noticing it.

Meanwhile, on the deck of the ship, a fast-moving figure could be seen taking out several of the mercenaries. This figure was none other than Captain America, sent by SHIELD along with Black Widow and a couple of agents. Captain America moved with incredible speed and agility, his actions precise and calculated.

He approached the first group of mercenaries silently, taking cover behind a stack of crates. The moonlight glinted off the vibranium of his shield as he crouched, his senses heightened, ears straining to catch the mercenaries' conversations. He observed their movements, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

In a blur of motion, he leaped out from behind the crates, his shield in hand. With a powerful, practiced throw, the shield spun through the air, a silver blur under the dim lights. It struck the first mercenary in the head with a resounding thud, the impact knocking him unconscious instantly. The shield ricocheted off the metal wall and returned to Captain America's hand with precision as he advanced on the second mercenary. A swift, forceful punch to the gut followed by an uppercut sent the man crumpling to the ground, gasping for breath.

Captain America continued his assault, moving stealthily and efficiently, taking out the mercenaries one by one. His movements were a seamless blend of strength and agility, each step calculated, each strike precise. He encountered a group of three mercenaries standing together, discussing their plans. He waited, muscles coiled like a spring, then sprang into action. His shield flew from his hand again, hitting the first mercenary square in the chest, the force knocking him off his feet.

As the other two turned in surprise, Captain America closed the distance with lightning speed. He delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to one, the impact sending him crashing into a nearby crate. Without missing a beat, he pivoted and delivered a punch to the second mercenary, the blow powerful enough to send him sprawling to the ground, unconscious.

He moved with fluid grace, each motion a testament to his enhanced abilities. His senses allowed him to detect even the slightest movements, his reflexes sharp enough to react instantly. He encountered another mercenary, disarming him with a swift twist of his wrist before knocking him out with a well-placed punch. Captain America then used his shield to deflect a burst of gunfire from a nearby mercenary, the bullets ricocheting harmlessly off the vibranium.

Charging forward, he slammed the shield into the man's chest with a forceful shove, knocking the wind out of him and sending him to the ground. The mercenary lay gasping for air, incapacitated.

Captain America took out the remaining mercenaries on the deck with ease, sometimes dealing with three at a time. His shield was a blur, blocking attacks, deflecting bullets, and incapacitating his enemies. His enhanced strength allowed him to overpower them effortlessly, while his speed and agility made it nearly impossible for them to land a hit on him. He moved with the precision of a well-oiled machine, each movement flowing into the next without hesitation.
