(3rd Person POV)
In the nighttime, Gotham turned into its true form. The darkness seemed to spawn from everywhere and no matter how many lights were turned on, it didn't help. And in this darkness, a certain Bat made his way through alleys and buildings searching for a certain man. He had arrived using his Portal Gun and was doing good old detective work. He went from one hideout to the next.
Right now, he was looking for a certain 'promising' criminal in the ranks of the Falcone family. Right now he was a small-time, weapons smuggler, but there was something that Batman had to talk to him about. Something that happened that he didn't approve of. And so it happened that he was going from Falcone hideout to hideout and destroying their properties and beating everyone up while asking for a certain Oswald Cobblepot.
Right now he had entered a Sullivan family hideout. The Sullivan Family was considered a sub-organization under the Falcones, it is a group of Irish assassins led by Mickey Sullivan. Batman slipped through the shadows unnoticed even by the Irish assassins and entered the building. He observed the people for a while and then revealed himself to the leader, Mickey Sullivan.
"Mickey "The Mink" Sullivan, we need to talk.", the deep voice of Batman was heard in the room. Mickey jumped up and turned around only to come face to face with the Batman. And for a second time, he was surprised during the same minute. But he thought of himself as a powerful man, so he retreated from Batman and pulled out a gun. He aimed at Batman and pulled the trigger.
*Bang Bang Bang*
With inhuman speed, Batman dodged the different shots. OG Batman could dodge lightning at one point, so he could dodge bullets at this short range. He grabbed the gun from Mickey's hand and twisted it, cracking the bones in the man's hand. He didn't break them on purpose. It wouldn't be the same if he did. Mickey couldn't fight otherwise and saw the futility of going against Batman.
"Argh, f*ck you!", Mickey said and took out two knives from somewhere. He slashed at Batman but he just dodged using minimal movements.
"F*ck! Stand still!", Mickey said out of frustration, but you should always be careful what you wish for. Batman wasn't dodging for himself, he was dodging the attacks for Mickey. Because otherwise ...
Batman stood still and let Mickey's attack reach him. The moment the blade made contact with the Batsuit, an electrical charge was released and travelled up the knife and shocked Mickey. Like a puppet that had all of its strings cut, Mickey fell to the ground. His muscles spasmed and he really looked like a puppet at that moment.
"Those were 4'000 Volts, boy. You should be careful what you wish for. Now ... since you stopped spasming all over the floor, I believe we should have that talk."
"N-n-noooooooo"
.
20 minutes later, Batman was standing on the roof of a building that he was told about by his good new friend Mickey. Poor boy, he had such a bright future in front of him ... and now he would never do a crime anymore. Why do people not just tell him what he needs to know? It would make things easier. Was he really that scary? Eh, whatever.
He turned on his perverted tech and took a look at the building. He saw a few Falcone goons and also the man he was looking for. A short, portly man with a long, pointed nose and a waddle-like walk was in the apartment he was just looking at. Quite a peculiar creature, but the name was fitting. He disappeared into the shadows and then entered the building.
"Time for some trauma."
.
.
(Oswald Cobblepot POV)
"No, sir. I haven't heard anything as of yet. I'll make sure to get on the case and find out what was going on.", I say to Mr. Falcone. The man is furious. It would seem that the local vigilante is at it again. He made a short pause for a while for some reason, but now he was back and doing a lot of damage.
"Make sure that you do."
*Click*
"Haaa, what a drag. This Bat-person is truly a menace. I wonder if he is after the money and power himself. Maybe I could use him to further my goals. A good idea. I should see what I can do."
"Yeah, you should.", a deep and eerie voice says behind me and I jump from my chair. I turn around and look around ... but find no one. What was that?
"Who is there?", I ask.
"You know who I am, Chester.", the voice says again. I can't locate where it is coming from. I get anxious and look all around the room.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?", I begin to shout.
"When you go to bed and are alone with your darkness ... who do you see in your inner eye?", the voice said very slowly.
"No ... No it CAN'T BE! You're dead! I know you are! Who are you really, stop this!!", I shriek. My breathing becomes snappy. My heart can be heard in my ears. My hands start to sweat and slowly but surely everything starts to ... spin.
"Say my name, Chester. Say it!"
*Gulp*
"N-no..."
"Say. My. Name!"
"Dad..."
.
"You're right, I am dead. And yet you hear my voice, you see me as I punish you for your mistake and the greatest mistake ... you know what I mean, don't you Oswald?"
"N-no ... stop, whoever you are ... please."
"Say it Oswald ... say what you did. I am here because you did bad again. What was it?"
"W-what? I ... I d-don't know what-"
"Silence! Don't lie to me boi. Remember that I know when you lie. It's not that hard, because you almost always lie. Your mother made you weak. Now tell me what I want to know, or I'll have to get the belt.", the voice got even lower.
"I really don-"
"Willis Todd."
"W-willis? But wha-wha-what would you w-want from hi-him?"
"Stop your stuttering and admit it. Admit to what you did. Where is Willis Todd, Chester?"
"I-In prison ..."
"And why is he there?"
"Be-because I ... I ... made him t-take the b-b-blame for me.", I say and I can feel tears begin to fall down my face. It was always this way. He always had this power over me and I was always incapable of doing anything against that. Why must he do that?
"So you were nearly convicted for a crime you had committed but instead hired one of your desperately poor henchmen, Willis Todd to take the fall for you, having the man go to prison in your place and separating him from his young son. Is that what you're saying?", Dad asks me accusingly.
"..."
"Speak up boi!"
"... yes."
"What did I tell you about standing up for yourself? Were all of my lessons wasted on you?! What a pathetic piece of shit have you become to not only f*ck up but then have someone else take the blame?"
"..."
"You will correct this, Chester. Or so help me god, I will come for you and the belt won't be enough then. Do you understand?"
"..."
"If you understand me?!"
"...yes."
"Good. Now get your body moving boi and wad to the GCPD."
.
.
(Batman POV)
I might have gone a bit overboard back there. It fascinates me again and again, just how powerful emotional wounds are. I mean I feel like a Chinese father right now. Using sandals left and right and putting criminals in their place. I literally pulled that move just now. Using a bit of a modified fear- and confusing toxin and I can make anyone see anyone. Sometimes my genius ... it IS frightening.
I mean just look at that. Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, the future Penguin of Gotham, is walking to the GCPD to hand himself in. If that's not a successful experiment, then I don't know what is.
*Brrr*
I get a buzzing effect, notifying me that I got an alert. I take out my multipurpose tool. That's what I call my phone/radio/TV/spyware etc. I made one small tool out of it because I despise these slow and stupid phones that flood the market. F*cking bureaucrats, I don't respect them. But don't tell Bruce Wayne, or he'll call me a hypocrite.
I take out my Multipurpose tool and see that there was a break-in at a jewellery store a few blocks from my position. I look at the security cameras and then use my own to get a better look. It seems someone with a ... cat costume has broken in and destroyed the cameras. Well, what an evening this turns out to be. I can observe a cat while it is doing its work.
.
I reached the place and saw movement in the jewellery store. I activated my 'Perverted Tech' and ... Oh my~ what do we have here? I didn't know that cats were this ... nimble? I could see the skill she had and the way she moved. Her height checked out and the bone structure did as well. I guess Selina Kyle is indeed Catwoman in this universe as well. I guess that's good. Or not, I'm not sure yet.
I had contingency plans for her. They were already in her bloodstream in fact. She's a thief, I had to take appropriate measures to ensure I might find her in case she steals something of need to me. Yeah, it might have been a bit overkill.
I wach as she finishes and then makes her way out of the building. Back to Batman mode.
.
.
(Catwoman POV)
What a successful heist. I love this feeling. The pure adrenaline and endorphins rushing through my body make this an incredible rush. Using my cat-like flexibility, I make my way out of the building and stand on the roof. I look over Gotham and sigh.
"The night does creepy things to this city but I know that somewhere out there, there is Batman causing trouble and putting fear into the hearts of criminals. A comforting thought.", I say quietly.
"Are you feeling comfortable then?", a deep voice says. My cat instincts amost make me jump from the roof but I manage to stop and turn around. And there I see the man that has been on my mind a lot since we met that night.
"B-Batman, w-what are you doing here? Are you looking for the thief? I think I saw someone run that way.", I point to the north and hope he buys this excuse.
"..."
Yeah, he doesn't buy it. That would have been too nice.
"What are you doing here?"
"I think you know."
"The break in? It wasn't me?"
"Aha. Then you wouldn't mind showing me your bag?"
"Bag? No not really, there are personal things in there ... woman things."
"Hm."
"Did ... did you just growl at me?"
"Stop stealing things.", he says and turns around.
"W-wait! You're leaving? Just like that?"
"Why? Are you guilty then?"
"Ahhhh, no! No of course not. Well then it was nice to meet you. This was a good first meeting."
"It wasn't the first time.", he says but when I turn around ... he is gone. Could he know? No that's impossible. Right? But even if he knew, why would he let me go? Is it pitty? Oh well, it doesn't matter. I can't believe he believed me when I told him that I had woman-things in my bag. That seems to be the deterrent for men.
Oh well ...
... Wait! WAIT!!!
WHERE IS MY BAG?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOO
.

(3rd Person POV)
On a nearby roof, Batman was looking at the woman and smirked when he saw her reaction. This greenhorn thought she could trick him. Him! Woman things ... like that would matter to him. And if she had it hidden in her tight suit, he would have gotten it no matter what. It was interesting to play with cats.
