A hum sounded in Hyperion's ears, making her sense of space in her vision seem somewhat disordered.

The remaining body was split into two sections, like a puppet with broken strings, quietly trembling and lying on the ground.

Signs of life on him had vanished, only his hollow eyes helplessly staring at the dome of the botanical garden remained.
