"It's nothing, I just missed you." Ye Ranran murmured.
She didn't want to tell him about that little issue to avoid worrying him.
"Really?" Jun Mochan's gaze was piercing, as if he could see into her heart.
Under such a sharp gaze, Ye Ranran felt a bit guilty and slowly lowered her head.
"Did your stepmother come to you again?" Jun Mochan asked.
"How did you know?" Ye Ranran blurted out.
Upon uttering those words, she wished she could bite her tongue off. Hadn't she just indirectly admitted it?
"What did she want with you?" Jun Mochan's eyes were clouded with gloom.
Ye Ranran knew, he was angry.
"She came to my company, kneeling and begging me to save Ye's business." said Ye Ranran nonchalantly, "Don't be mad, I didn't agree to help her."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jun Mochan raised her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze.
His eyes were deep as an ocean, occasionally shimmering, like stars reflected within, easily captivating anyone who beheld them.
