After serving a bowl of rice, Shen Lan made a suggestion, "Perhaps, we should have the aunt make less food tomorrow? I feel like we cannot consume this much."

"It's such a waste if we can't finish all this food."

Cheng Yanqing was eating her rice when she heard this suggestion, she looked up and said, "But these are all your favorites. Don't you like eating them?"

Shen Lan shook her head gently, and continued to pick up vegetables with her chopsticks, "It's not that I don't like them. I adore the meals the aunt makes."

"But regardless of how much I love them, if there is too much food and we can't finish, it's still a waste."
