The golden rays of the sun shone down into the land, awakening all the peace and tranquility of the morning. Under a large tree, a handsome young man with shoulder length dark hair sat cross legged.
Dressed in a beautiful black chiton, his body exuded the grace of an immortal. His eyes were tightly closed, and a thin film of silvery white divine enrgy revolved around his body.
A subtle wind suddenly erupted, with a simple shift of his body, as a small flower began to levitate and slowly rested on his palm.
His eyes snapped open instantly revealing sky blue gems which solemnly scanned around his surroundings.
"It's time…"
He stood up and stretched his back lazily before turning towards the golden dharma wheel on his back.
'Don't let me down this time, buddy..' He smiled and walked to a large river, stood at the bank and gazed at his reflection in the clear water.
Watching his picture perfect looks in the water, he nodded in appreciation, before he jumped into the water with no hesitation whatsoever.
Thin slits of his flesh opened on either side of his neck, before he closed his eyes, relaxed and calmed himself.
*ROOAR!*
In less than a minute, a the shadow of a large beast materialised behind him, followed by a loud roar that nearly caused the rivers to churn.
"Finally, we meet again." Alan smirked and gazed towards the beast, not minding the contempt in the eyes of the monster.
*BANG!*
Without hesitation, the beast zoomed off within the waters and smashed its large tail towards Alan at immense speed. A massive shockwave erupted from the collision, however, Alan was simply floating within the water, unfazed by the massive tail of the beast which he had blocked with his left arm.
"Let's play.."
He quickly grabbed the tail of the beast and began whirling its body in the water, stirring and churning the massive waters, disturbing the lifeforms within, before he hurled it out of the water with immense strength.
*BOOM!*
The massive crocodile descent onto the earth created a large shockwave that rippled while raising dust.
*ROOAARR!*
It opened its large jaws angrily and rushed towards Alan, infuriated by the fact that it had actually been disgraced by the pesky insect that was levitating in the air before it.
Alan simply clenched his fist and zoomed out, shattering the sound barrier in an instant.
*BANG!*
His fist smashed into the head of the crocodile, hurling it into the air, as if it was nothing. It's body crashed into multiple trees and before it crashed into a small hill and shattered it with its large body.
Before it could even drop to the ground, Alan rushed forward and grabbed it by its tail and smashed it into the ground with immense strength, cratering a massive piece of land and shattering multiple bones in the crocodile's body.
The crocodile however was unrelenting, and despite its injuries, it reached out with its massive jaw and chomped onto Alan's arm which was grabbing onto its tail, however rather than tearing his flesh, its large sharp teeth shattered on contact, as a smile formed on the youth's face.
He simply grabbed it by the jaw and punched out once more, sending the massive beast flying into the distance.
Slowly levitating into the air with a flap of his wings, Alan waved his hand, as silver light burst out and coalesced into dozens of hundred feet long lances which instantly shot towards and impaled the body of the crocodile pinning it into the earth.
Gallons of blood spilled out, dying the soil red, and amidst the wails of the massive beast, Alan smirked and raised his hand to the sky.
*TSSST! CRACK!*
*BOOM!*
He called upon the might of the heavens, summoning streaks of lightning within the clouds and thunder.
A massive bolt of divine lightning immediately descended onto the body of the massive beast, rending its skin and decimating its flesh, amidst the pitiful cries and wails.
After a few minutes, Alan walked to the beast's cooked carcass with a smile and began examining it.
"Wheel, I finally did it, didn't I? I killed that damn beast!"
Alan paused for a moment, turned to his imaginary friend and laughed victoriously. The learning sessions with Samael had truly paid off.
"Jubilating after defeating the offspring of one of the planet's most feared abominations? I wouldn't be so brazen if I were in your shoes.."
Just then, a scowl sounded out, as Samael slowly descended from the sky while his wings flapped behind him.
"Let me have my moment man. You don't know how many times I was crushed under the massive jaw of that bastard." Alan shuddered, remembering the pain and the fear before.
"At the very least, I have nothing to fear because I have you here by my side.." He smiled and patted the shoulder of the Archangel and walked past him, to continue examining his meal.
An unconscious smile couldn't help but form on Samael's face before he cleared his throat.
Knowing Alan depended on him and trusted him with his life warmed his heart, but at the same time, it scared him.
"So what, how are we going to do this? I cooked the whole thing with lightning so that we'd have enough to share.."
Alan conjured a massive chainsaw and climbed atop the carcass of the beast, as Samael scrunched his nose in disgust.
"What? You don't like meat? Are you vegetarian?" Watching thr disgusted expression on Samael's face, Alan stretched out his hand and burned the whole thing to ashes before patting his hands.
"Prepare for training in an hour.."
Samael shook his head and turned around, while a sense of urgency suddenly struck Alan.
"You know what, today is sort of a big day to me. Why don't we use this day to you know, relax, or do something else.."
He spoke in the calmest voice he could muster and the brightest smile he could form.
"You do not want to train today? What else should we do?" Samael asked and raised a brow.
"I don't know, go sight seeing?…Oh wait! I've always wanted to go to space and explore the stars! Can we do that today?"
He furrowed his brows in confusion, however the next moment realization struck him, as he laid out an idea.
"You want to go to space? I'm afraid the current strength of your body is not enough to withstand the vacuum of space."
Samael shook his head, but Alan was firm in his decision.
"I mean I've always wondered what lay behind the skies. Oh and also wheel can adapt to space." He winked and smiled, as Samael sighed and unfurled his wings.
"Fine. Follow me, but on one condition, if you are able to make it out of the planet's gravitational pull with your own ability, then we will do as you say, if not then we return to training."
He spoke in a stern expression, and Alan nodded firmly, not rejecting the idea.
"Good."
The archangel nodded and unfurled his wings, before disappearing in an instant.
"Let's do this."
Alan heaved a deep breath and unfurled his wings, before taking off into the skies.
Crossing several heights, his speed was neither slow nor fast, but after reaching a certain level, he shattered the sonic barrier and exploded forth with all of his speed.
After passing the mesosphere, his lungs felt as if they were being squeezed together, and his heart felt like it was going to burst.
Blood flowed out of his nose, mouth and ears, but he kept going with a smile on his face.
The bones in his wings felt like they could shatter any moment, but he persevered until he finally noticed Samael's figure standing above the earth in an aloof manner.
The moment he crossed all of earth's seven at atmospheres with his immense escape velocity, he felt all the bones in his body creak and shatter and right as his entered the vacuum of space, he was on the verge of exploding.
"I….I made it.."
He chuckled and coughed out blood, before closing his eyes right before the golden haired Samael who looked on with a stone face.
*DONG!*
The moment the dharma wheel rotated, time seemed to reverse on his body, as he adapted and grew immune to the phenomena known as the vacuum of space.
"That was something wasn't it…"
Wiping the blood off his nose, he smirked towards Samael who only rolled his eyes in response.
"Here.."
The archangel then reached out to his back and plucked out five feathers of his wings without hesitation and implanted them into Alan's destroyed wings with divine energy.
"Are those your feathers? Why are you giving them to me?"
Alan asked, watching in surprise as his wings metamorphosed from their previous destroyed state and dark colour into a healthy pure white colour.
"Why did you do that? Aren't your wings suposed to be precious?"
Alan asked in confusion, trying to flap his wings only to find them extremely heavy on his back.
"Well, you don't expect me to carry you around on your little sightseeing, do you?" He proudly spoke and rolled his eyes, however Alan on the other hand smiled at his friends tactics and solemnly made a vow in his heart.
"Well, let's test this babies out."
*WHOOSH!*
He flapped them with all of his strength and disappeared in an instant, as if he had teleported.
*BOOM!*
The moment he reappeared he had already crashed onto the surface of the yellowish planet near Earth, which will later come to known as Mars.
"That freaking hurt.."
He rubbed his butt and flapped them once more, haphazardly teleporting in front of Samael once more.
"Shall we?"
Samael gestured and disappeared, as Alan nodded with a smile and teleported as well chasing after the image of his friend.
