We boarded the jet late afternoon after the meeting with Lovita and Hunter at the pack offices and landed in Sitka late evening. I had called Alexander before we boarded the plane and he sent a car to pick us up when we landed and the driver drove to Tizheruk's mansion by the sea.

When we arrived, Tizheruk and Haida were not present and only the maids and guards were in the mansion. I remained behind to make a phone call to Godmother informing her of our trip.

" Godmother" I spoke up when she connected the call.

" Conri, do you have something to say to me? " She cut to the chase without responding to the greetings.

"No. I only called to let you know that I am in Sitka. Lucian and I took a trip this afternoon.

" Are you sure all is well? I know you, Conri, why would you make a trip to Sitka abruptly? " she demanded.

" Lucian and I needed time away, and I have missed Tizheruk and Haida" I lied.
