"Because he surprised me by coming to the Due Corporation. By the time you were calling, I was already boarding the car to leave the office. Why are you angry, husband? "I asked in surprise. 

"You do not know how dangerous Lobo is, "Conri seethed. 

"Are you going to tell me?" I walked over to stand toe to toe with him as he towered over me. He smelled of the sandalwood shampoo, a sign he had showered earlier when he got home. 

"Yes. Eventually. For now, stay away from him lil pup," Conri asserted. 

"He came to me, Husband. Not the other way around. He brought Rex with him to beg me to take him back to the construction site, but I told them you are in charge. "I added.

"Lobo will never relent. He has only backed off for now as he retreats. That is how his mind works. He is an Alpha who has an evil bone. I never left the pack then because I was weak. I left to protect Godmother and the Due family," He explained. 

"And?" I pressed him further.
