Kapitel 32: Chapter 32

Kuzo had his hands in his pockets when he looked at the crowd. He was in the middle building for the first test, standing among the best candidates from other villages, who were sent to represent the power of their genins.

The true purpose of the Chunin test wasn't promotion but more to represent the prowess of each village to the rich people, so that they could gain missions.

But thinking that they'd send kids to kill each other for profit, Kuzo felt it was too cruel.

'I remember when Madara and Hashirama agreed to build a place where children didn't have to kill each other. And then Tobirama decided to invent the Chunin exam. My bet is he wanted a legal way to see some Uchihas die.'

He yawned, scratching his hand. The last night, he didn't have enough sleep. But that's just a part of shinobi life—mission after mission, and blue balls in between. No wonder Jiraiya liked to spend his time in brothels. His researches must have given him blue balls as well.

In the middle of his yawn, Kankuro passed by him, giving him a furious glare.

Kuzo, since he had satisfied his urge to kill, ignored him.

But apparently, the sand shinobis weren't the only ones who agreed with him.

When he turned his head, he noticed Tenten.

She gave him that look, a mean look as if he had stolen something from her.

Kuzo suddenly froze when he remembered something.

'I have ditched her after asking her for a date.' He lowered his head, eyes wide open, thinking that he might have hurt her feelings. He just pretended to look elsewhere.

'I won't blame her if she ended up hating me.' Before Danzo had kidnapped him, he'd asked her for a date under the excuse of throwing shurikens a week later. He then had left the village. After the death of En No Gyoja, he had been busy. Besides, ever since he had gotten that spider guy's power, he could make weapons from his mouth. And he never lacked shinobi tools. All contributed to him forgetting about Tenten.

'I'll just say sorry for ghosting you? Maybe make up some excuse.'

He kept looking around, finding a specific woman who seemed too tall for this group, around 175-180 cm. Obviously, she's an adult and had a headband of the grass village with a bamboo hat on her head.

'Physically matching the body of Orochimaru. No. This is the female Orochimaru will kill and her team. Did he kill her yet? Let me find out.'

Kuzo cleared his throat, took a deep breath, and walked to her.

If this is Orochimaru, he would release a killing intent no one could handle.

If not, he should put her on guard and see.

"Excuse me, miss," Kuzo tapped her on the back.

"Miss?" She turned and looked down at him. "What is it you want, boy?"

"I usually don't do this, but I won't take a lot of your time. I've been staring at you, and I couldn't help myself but thinking you're cute. Would you like to hang out some times after this test?" Kuzo said, lowering his head a bit, winking. He tried to act as trashy as he could.

As much as he hated to admit it, Orochimaru knew what to pick.

She looked at him, eyebrows lifted. She smirked, asking, "Enjoying the view?"

Kuzo nodded. He then did something he knew would annoy her. He placed his hand on that perky butt.

A killing intent descended on him.

But it wasn't that intense.

Yep, Orochimaru didn't kill her yet.

It meant he was hiding around, ready to kill her.

"You're too daring?" She replied.

Kuzo took his hand back. "Come on. You can reject me instead of asking me if I liked the view. You basically invited me."

"You have guts. I'll take them out."

"So, is that a yes."

"No." She replied, then she left. "I'll see you during the second stage."

"Sorry to bother you." He lifted his hands and walked away.

Kuzo felt everyone's eyes on him. Not only that, but some whispered about how it's embarrassing for him to get rejected like this. Some even laughed.

'Whether you like it or not. I'll fuck you up.' Kuzo looked at the grass village shinobi.

"Your mom would be disappointed. Kuzo, I thought you were better than that to approach a woman like that." Kuzo heard an unfamiliar voice. He turned to see a pink-haired girl around his age, one year younger. She was none other than Sakura.

"What does this have to do with you or my mom?" he asked her after confirming that she was talking to him.

Sakura put her hands on her hips. "Come on. My mom and yours are sisters. Have you forgotten that?"

"Hold up." Kuzo lifted his hand, and he took a very deep breath, remembering something was missing.

He and Sakura were cousins.

Don't tell him that she was the girl his mom wanted to marry.

'I and Sakura are related.'

He almost fell on his knees, questioning his whole life.

After all the trash thinking he'd done about Sakura, she appeared to be a relative of his.

'No need to think of suicide. That's the original body owner. My soul isn't related to her.' Kuzo thought. 'My bloodline changes every time I kill someone. So I shouldn't be too related to her.'

"What are you thinking of?"

"Regret," Kuzo said, "Anyway, you should catch up to your team. It was nice to see you."

"Wait." Sakura held him from the shoulder, "There is something we should talk about?"

"Make it quick."

"Did your mom say something about marriage?" she asked.

God No. She couldn't possibly want him. After all, their parents may have thought they were a good match because both were shinobi.

No. She's Sasuke's curse.

Kuzo nodded. "Don't worry, I told her I'm still young."

He lied as easily as he could breathe.

"Good." Sakura nodded, "because I'm thinking of marrying someone else."

Her answer genuinely made him smile. He patted her on the head and said, "Please, you have my blessing. If you need support or anything with it, don't hesitate to ask for my help."

He'd supported her relationship with Sasuke in the anime. But now, he would.

She was taken aback from his demeanor. But then she smiled and said. "Thank you. I'm happy that we're on the same page."

"Don't mention it," he replied, waving his hand as if it were nothing.

"Nice seeing you again. Glad you graduated."

"Yeah, you too. See ya," Kuzo said, leaving as soon as possible.

He then followed everyone else to the entrance of the first exam.

Since he was here on a mission, disguised to locate Orochimaru in the best possible place to attack him, he didn't have to be really careful about the exam. So he just put a leg above the other and waited until the end of it.

He had taken some emotional damage after realizing that Sakura was his cousin.

It taught him that Karma was a real bitch.

He wouldn't mind bullying anyone anymore.

He looked at Sasuke, and he thought, 'I won't let you leave the village. Better yet, I'll leave it myself.'

He then exchanged looks with the examiner, who happened to be Ibiki Morino, covering his head in a bandanna. This guy was the one responsible for interrogation and torture. And he was known to be a sadist among the jonins.

Kuzo was meant to pass this stage for a mission, and Ibiki knew that, so that's why he was left to do as he liked.

Feeling bored, he ended up deciding to use this time to take a nap, and so he did. When he woke up, he found that most people were leaving the exam. Ibiki then started praising those who stayed to answer the tenth question and told them that they passed to the next stage. Kuzo stretched his arms up and yawned, hearing someone calling him a 'lucky bastard' only because he slept.

'You know, luck is a skill too.'

"You guys may pass to the next exam," said Ibiki.

Then, Anko appeared in the test hall, inviting the others to the forest of death while talking big about how more than half of them could face death.

A few ink marks were released under Kuzo's shirt, allowing his sensory abilities to get stronger. He could feel Orochimaru's chakra, who was disguised as a jonin from the Sound Village, lurking somewhere.

He then looked at the girl he asked out earlier.

An idea hit him, with a wide smirk.

He approached her as everyone was walking out.

"It's you again?" she said, "And you passed."

"Listen. I'm really sorry for earlier," he talked, slowing his pace to slow hers. "Maybe we started wrong."

"By that, you mean grabbing me?" she said, raising an eyebrow.

"I think I should have kidnapped you," Kuzo replied, earning her a chuckle. Poor girl.

She seriously thought he was joking.

"You really have a death wish."

When he was sure that they were left behind him, he suddenly turned to her, punched her in the face, knocking her out. "You'll thank me later."

Then Kuzo formed a hand sign, smoke covering him, turning himself into another person.
