When she stepped into the room, the first thing she heard was a sweet little mew.
Snowball stepped out from the shadows under a desk. Pretty blue eyes blinked up at her cautiously, as if he also hadn't expected her back so soon and thus doubted her identity.
He sniffed at the air, suspicious of a shapeshifter in his mother's skin.
The moment he confirmed her identity, he meowed eagerly and rushed over to her, purring loudly.
She smiled as her hands immediately lifted to scratch behind his ears and pick him up. It felt nice to be so immediately 'forgiven' by her darling. "There's my adorable snowflake..."
As she held him, the kitten squirmed just a bit, pushing himself upwards and then climbing over her shoulder and up onto her head, plopping himself into what was apparently a comfortable little perch for him.
Well. She was glad her hair could be a seat for him, because without her servants it was frankly getting messier by the day.
