Kapitel 449: I'm not skulking around, I'm meeting up

There was no more delaying it, as much as Isabelle might like to do that.

Caleb had arrived again to take her on another spy adventure. And now...

She had to decide whether to meet up with that man or not.

It wasn't even really a decision, though.

He was their last best hope and she was running out of time.

So she could only hope that when she got into that secret tunnel he'd be on top of things enough to be waiting like he said and she wouldn't need to aimlessly wander those awful cramped tunnels to find him and possibly get lost in the process.

Worry about that later. For now...

She resolutely fixed her disguise in front of the mirror.

She wasn't planning to pretend to be as maid today, since that stranger had somehow instantly sussed out her identity...but if they ever encountered someone or left the tunnels it was good to have the disguise on.
