It felt as if time had slowed down. In the blink of an eye, as William Cole dove forward, he saw Ruth Dawn being thrown off the edge of the villa's rooftop, plunging towards the ground below.

His mind went blank, buzzing loudly. He put all his strength into a desperate leap, seizing Ruth's arm. His body fiercely flipped in mid-air – his fingers, seemingly gaining strength from an unfathomable source, managed to latch onto the brick wall outside.

William seemed immune to the pain. His fingers were lodged within the brick wall, his blood streaming down.

An intense pain surged through his body. William felt as if he was losing control of his left hand. His meridians trembled violently.

He felt his fingernails flipping backwards, both his flesh and bones were injured. Despite that, William had no intention of letting go. He knew that if he were to let go now, he would regret it for the rest of his life!
