Kapitel 42: Closing the First Breach (2)

"Hold your ores!" Alex shouted to them as the maddening chuckle increased close to his ear. A shiver ran through Alex's body as he swung his blade towards the darkness at his side, hitting nothing. "The Shadow Hound is here and he's collecting the Arcanite!"

"HI HI HI HI!" The voice echoed, running to the distance, in the same direction of the breach and from where the bats were coming. The beast was probably trying to trick them into thinking it was gone. The bats kept flying towards them, and Tal'Dore again dominated the creatures, this time not letting one pass by. The agility with which the elf drew his arrows was a sight.

"They took your ores?" Alex asked Tina, Bogath, and the lieutenant.

Tina had lost one ore and the military elf two; Bogath was the only one who hadn't lost a single Arcanite ore.

"And you, Tal'Dore?" The orc asked, and the elf looked at him with a sidelong while aiming his arrow at another beast
