Kapitel 106: Chapter 106 – Tione’s thoughts
After dinner, Aston and the others didn't just chat or rest immediately. Instead, they found a spacious area and started practicing combat in pairs. Aston was pitted against Ais and Ryuu, while Tione sparred with Tiona.
Aston, having leveled up again, still hadn't crossed the threshold from Level 6 to Level 7. The gap between Level 6 and 7 was significant, and despite his significant improvement, he hadn't yet made that leap. Perhaps with one more level up, his strength might reach Level 7.
On the wide-open field, several figures clashed energetically, swords clashing and echoing throughout the area. Tione and Tiona were having a genuine sparring session, but Aston's situation was different.
Previously, Aston's sessions could be considered sparring, but after reaching the pinnacle of Level 6 and gaining infinite martial prowess, these sessions turned into more of a guidance in combat tactics for Ais and Ryuu. Remarkably, both Ais and Ryuu were absorbing Aston's techniques, blending them into their own fighting styles, and enhancing their combat skills. Truly befitting their status as the once famous "Twin Stars."
While Aston was still busy with the combat session, Tione and Tiona had already stopped.
"Hey, Tiona, what's going on with you? How did you suddenly become so much stronger?" Tione asked her sister while sitting on the ground. As the older sister, she had always been stronger than Tiona, but in this recent sparring session, she found herself being overpowered by Tiona, which was unexpected.
"Hehe, Tione, what changes do you think I've had recently?" Instead of answering directly, Tiona cheekily asked Tione.
Pondering over the question, Tione couldn't find any significant changes in Tiona, except for her transformation from a girl to a woman. She looked at Tiona questioningly.
Understanding Tione's gaze, Tiona nodded affirmatively. "That's right! The changes in me are all thanks to Aston," Tiona revealed with a giggle. "If you agree to my earlier suggestion, you could experience the same change."
Tione blushed and glared at Tiona, choosing to ignore her and stand up. She looked towards Aston's training area, her gaze somewhat distant. "Together, huh? Tiona doesn't mind, maybe it's actually a viable option. Aston is a good choice... sigh," she thought to herself while watching Aston effortlessly guide Ais and Ryuu in their combat skills.
Recently disengaged from Finn, she wasn't particularly keen on delving into romantic matters. However, Aston's powerful solo takedown of Balor had strongly attracted her attention, leading her to involuntarily keep an eye on him. Later, due to Tiona's experience and her empathy for her, she felt as though she had personally gone through it, developing a genuine fondness for Aston.
Tione's feelings towards Aston amplified significantly after hearing Tiona's recent comments. Now, with Tiona bringing it up again, her heart wavered. Since her sister didn't mind, Tione thought she probably shouldn't be too rigid either. Moreover, their unique twin constitution made being with different men more complicated. She considered that being together with Aston might be simpler.
With these thoughts, Tione squatted down next to Tiona again. "Hey, Tiona, can you tell me more about Aston?" she asked softly.
Tiona's face lit up with a teasing smile, causing Tione to blush. "Will you help or not?" Tione asked, a bit annoyed and raising her voice slightly.
"Alright, I'll talk to Aston about it. But I really didn't expect you to be like this," Tiona giggled, teasing her sister. "You used to be so bold in love, chasing after Finn without hiding your feelings. Why the sudden change now?"
"It's because you made the first move," Tione replied coolly, glancing at Tiona.
"Oh, I see, that makes sense," Tiona realized. If she hadn't made the first move and Tione happened to fancy Aston, she would have pursued him just as openly as Tiona did.
While Aston was guiding Ais and Ryuu, a scheming plot was brewing on the surface. In the Apollo Familia's headquarters, Apollo was receiving a report from Hyakinthos Clio, the captain of his Familia.
"So, the Hestia Familia is quite large, but the highest-level member is Aston, who just advanced to Level 2," Apollo mused, his eyes gleaming with excitement, confirming that Aston was a target within his reach.
"Hyakinthos, I'll leave this matter to you. You know what to do," Apollo said, his hands crossed on the table, a twisted smile of obsession forming on his face.
"Yes, leave it to me, Apollo-sama!" Hyakinthos replied calmly, placing a hand over his chest and bowing slightly before exiting the room.
Left alone in his office, Apollo's maniacal laughter echoed ominously, hinting at the sinister plans he had in store.
